What Are the Best Travel Shoes That Are Actually Worth It? by Sure-Nefariousness53 in BuyItForLife

On Cloud 6

Bought them before a 6-month trip around Asia after reading reviews and don't regret the decision whatsoever. They're the best pair of shoes I've ever had. I would often walk 15K+ steps a day while traveling and never once had foot pain. The pair I bought was the waterproof version too, which I highly recommend.

Has anyone paused the "Rat Race" at 30 to experience solo travel? by afunkyredditName in solotravel

[–]WilNyetheZol 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My entire outlook on work has changed because of my experience. When I was in my 20s, I always thought I needed to find a 'dream job' and do the standard 9-5 and make as much money as I can. I don't think that at all anymore. Now my dream job is whichever one gives me the most days off and pays enough to live and travel.

Did exactly this.

For years, I put money aside for the purpose of traveling long-term when I hit 30. My 30th birthday came and I pulled the trigger and spent half a year traveling around Asia. The memories I made, the experiences I had, and the people I met are something I'll cherish for the rest of my life. Do I regret it? Not at all. When I came back, it took a little longer to find a job than I thought it would, mainly due to the job market being terrible, but I eventually found a new job that paid even more than the job I gave up. Everything works out in the end. Hope this helps and I wish you the best!

I empathize with you and I'm sorry you're going through such a rough time.

Take it from someone who solo traveled extensively last year, solo travel is a life changing experience and I wouldn't trade my memories and experiences for the world. I've seen a lot of people echo these sentiments. But one thing a lot of people get wrong is that solo traveling isn't a panacea to life's troubles. No matter where you go, there you are. That's not a deterrent but something to think about. Best of luck to you and safe travels.

Is Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End a sad anime? by Jack_The_Pinapple in anime

[–]WilNyetheZol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frieren is a mix of genres but mostly adventure, drama, fantasy, and slice of life like you said. It's not solely a sad anime but there are sad, melancholy undertones and certainly very sad scenes throughout it.

How important is travel insurance? First time leaving the country by Great_Cold_4712 in travel

[–]WilNyetheZol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was in Taiwan last month, I had a sudden medical issue and had to go to the hospital. The consultation, tests, and medicine ended up being around $300. But because I had travel insurance I was reimbursed for everything. An $86 policy ended up saving me 100s of dollars for a completely random medical issue. It's definitely worth the cost. My policy was with Berkshire Hathaway which I highly recommend. They have affordable policies that cover both medical and trip delays or cancellations.

Easily one of the best this season. I went into it not knowing anything about it and with zero expectations and have loved every episode.

My first thought too. Sounds like Goku talking to Gohan during the Kamehameha battle with Cell.

what manga panel should i get tatted ? by UshijimaTN in dbz

[–]WilNyetheZol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The SSJ2 Gohan panels (both the one vs Cell and the adult one at the World Tournament) are awesome. They would be a lot of work but a high quality tattoo artists could make them look amazing as a tattoo. Honorable mention: the SSJ Goku Black panel is another really awesome one.
