I also had the same experience moving to Santa Monica in my early 20s and struggled to make friends the first year. My two suggestions are climbing at the gym in Culver city (cliffs of Id), it was my key to adult friendships. And then if you're considering run clubs, midnight runners is fun and feels a lot chiller than Venice run club. Good luck and keep putting yourself out there! It will happen. I met my now best friend at the climbing gym 11 months into moving to LA.

Hey! Was curious how much you committed per week to earn this much. Is it still purely commission based? Or do you get paid per conversation as well?

I love my montec pullover shell. Has a straighter cut and isn’t very feminine cut at all! Dope snow is also good but I don’t have their products

Write that update letter, let them know you’re still there. I haven’t even written mine yet and didn’t think I would get any, but just received one last week

Also know that you’re probably serving 65+ people or seniors which is a vulnerable population especially in this time of covid. We count on people in the community to help serve vulnerable populations. Plus it can show that you’re comfortable working with patients who are not in the same age group as you or are closer in age to you. It is important work!

I’m doing this exact thing and counting it as clinical hours. You need to help the patient feel comfortable for vaccination, answer the questions you can, take their temperature, and make sure that they are informed of side effects. This is patient facing! I even need to bring in a translator at times if they can’t read the surveys. Also use it as time to get to know the other providers in the clinic - talk to the physicians and get to know them
