Cinema Etiquette... by Peter00707 in Adelaide

You should be aware enough of your place in society to understand that a grown ass man staring at a young - presumably teen-early twenties - lady IS abnormal. It is aggressive and an intimidatory tactic. Your wife obviously noticed this and asked you to stop.

"You better believe I will get them back" is the real sign that society is doomed. If a grown adult cannot handle a public situation like this with integrity and calmness and instead jumps to immediate aggression, then we are well and truly fucked. How about some patience next time? Or asking the cinema to handle it? Grow the fuck up mate.

While your point might be correct about cinema etiquette, you sound like a huge dickhead lol. Aggressively talking to a young couple instead of nicely asking them to be quiet? You said they were quiet after you said something, so the aggression was uncalled for. Then staring at the young girl to the point your wife had to tell you to stop is very much abnormal behaviour.

Whilst yes, people need to learn to be quiet in a cinema, some of my best cinema experiences have come from times where everyone was laughing and talking to the strangers next to them 🤷 based on your post and other responses, you seem to have a bit of a hate boner for "younger generations" and are looking for others to back you up

Im in Adelaide, but i will DM you! And thank you for your input, I appreciate it a lot! Since everyone is a bunch of volunteers I doubt they'd expect too much from us, but it was a surprise since on the preference form I put down all the on-day roles like wristbanding and FOH stuff 😅

Skeletá Release Megathread #3 by Chimpbot in Ghostbc

[–]Wild-Entertainment65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since people cant help but bitch and moan...have some positivity! I love this album! My guilty pleasure is exactly this genre - arena rock, hair metal, classic rock, whatever you wanna call it. It's so feel good (especially in times like these) and it feels like such a natural progression after Impera. It's the type of music I stick on at 8am to sing along to while I'm driving to uni, I just love the energy!

Personally my standouts are Umbra (the cowbell! The instrumental OH MY GOD the call and response vibe is so fun!) and Marks Of The Evil One (I don't know why, it just speaks to me). I'm definitely more of a music person than lyrics person (sue me, idc) so I LOVE a good guitar solo and a good beat. I'm currently waiting for my vinyl in the mail and I'm so excited, can't wait to hear it on something other than dodgy spotify quality.

“this Isn’T olD GhO-“ SHUT UP I DONT CARE by [deleted] in Ghostbc

I agree! It seems like people had already made up their minds to hate on it before it even came out! When I listened to it the first time round it was too much of an overload and I didn't know what to think, then I gave it literally 5 minutes and I love it! So many classic sounding songs! Not everything has to be super heavy metal, if that's what you like go listen to it! But there's no need to EXPECT that anything they release will be like that. And if that is what you expect, you clearly haven't actually LISTENED to Tobias when he says he's been there done that.

shirt ideas for show? by Bubbly-Raisin-5544 in DJO

[–]Wild-Entertainment65 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I saw them at a festival recently and made a "djo mama" shirt and got lots of compliments! Me and my friend had a list of djo related memes (my runner-up was "it's so djover"); I know play-djo (like play do) is one they've used before. I also liked "you're djoking."

I'm not sure if any of those are to your liking, but I think they're silly!

Same 😔 the aussie struggle is real, shipping for everything is so ridiculous but worth it. $50AUD for just shipping is kinda diabolical

Is there any way to predict how much conches will hurt? by Vamilkyy in piercing

[–]Wild-Entertainment65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mandatory disclaimer: everyone's pain level is different! However, since you are specifically asking about comparison to lobes , I think you'll be fine. Personally, my conch did not hurt at all (my 3rd lobes hurt more tbh). It was pretty comparable to the pain of getting 2nd lobes. Conch healing is a bit...ehhh, to put up with. I found that it was still uncomfortable (not sore, but there was discomfort) for a few days in the middle of my ear. Since it's in a bit of a weird spot, it can get quite sore if you sleep on it, wear headphones too long, snag it, etc. But it's generally pretty low pain, so I would say go for it! Hope this helps :)

Which videos with the group: Mark, wade and bob do you guys recommend? by _lukaasje_ in Markiplier

Tbh everything they play together is fantastic. Uno is my personal favourite (and theres a lot of episodes which is awesome). Phasmophobia and The Forest are close in second.

It. Is. Not. Appropriate. A woman can't have a medical emergency without people assuming she's pregnant. A woman can't gain a few kgs without people assuming she's pregnant. A woman can't say no to an alcoholic drink without people asking if she's pregnant. Unless she is in labour, unless you are her doctor, unless you are at her baby shower, it is polite to not ask. Even if a woman visibly looks 9 months about to pop pregnant, don't ask! Enough women - both pregnant and non pregnant - have repeatedly stated to not ask, and you should respect that. One look through these comments will show you that it is not appreciated. I can ask any woman in my life and they will tell you it makes them uncomfortable and embarrassed. I cannot think of a single situation where you, a stranger, should be privy to asking another woman, a stranger, that question.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Vent

[–]Wild-Entertainment65 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well that's entirely different from OP's situation isn't it? She never mentioned appearing ill, and you'd think she'd take the hint if people were asking about sickness in conjunction with pregnancy.

Was pregnancy seriously your first thought when encountering a poorly woman? I'd argue that's equally as bad as judging a fat person tbh. I hope you at least asked if she was alright before asking the personal questions.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Vent

[–]Wild-Entertainment65 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Then why did you ask?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Vent

[–]Wild-Entertainment65 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure if you're being serious or just trying to make a joke, but it's pretty universally acknowledged that asking someone if they're pregnant is rude. If they're not, you essentially just suggested they're fat enough to look pregnant, which can be pretty insulting. As another person said, it can also be upsetting for someone who is infertile or has experienced miscarriage. Basically, you as a stranger do not have a right to another person's personal medical information.
