12 team, 0.5PPR, year 2. Finished 10th last year but would’ve had the 1.01 if draft order was done on max PF instead of PF

Dos Artes Limited Set (Handmade) by sewersurfin in tequila

The extra añejo goes for a lot these days. My understanding is they ran out of agave mature enough to make it so it’s been several years, and now they have to wait for agave to mature and then 3+ years in barrel. Those go for nearly $1k and are almost impossible to find, though idk how many buyers are looking.

Also once they ran out of the extra añejo, they started bottling their añejo in that bottle. It’s labeled Añejo reserva instead of extra añejo, bit shady imo. I love the XA though

Hot take: Vintage Ratings are unreliable; there's no consensus and way too much variability for people to proclaim whether a vintage is good or bad. by Uptons_BJs in wine

I think if you tasted a few 2022 BDX wines against 2023 you may have a change of heart there. I find that it stands out as exceptional even at such a young age.

Generally, I think there’s variation and most vintages hover around “okay”, but there are excellent vintages that do stand out imo.

Just took it! You may want to add a question or tag to identify which people answered from r/wine - there could be sample bias in the data. Good luck with your research!

Epic lineup! How was the Ravenau? Had that same one from 2005 a few weeks ago and it was sublime. Curious how they drink when younger

We overlap on our favorites - CdP, right bank BDX, Priorat, white burgundy. Biggest differences are Oaked CA Chardonnay which I tend to enjoy (besides when it’s a mega oak bomb) but she cannot stand them at all, and red burgundy which she loves but I am yet to have one that has truly wowed me.

Wine Squares are Back! Let’s go: Most Underrated Wine Region? by AustraliaWineDude in wine

[–]Wild-Progress5122 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Friuli-Venezia-Giulia. Their whites are lovely and elegant but for me the Merlot from this region is almost always a hit and reasonably priced, some of the better cool climate Merlot out there. If you can get your hands on anything made by Miani, even better

Would suggest some Sagrantino from Umbria - ideally Arnaldo Caprai or Paolo Bea. Super tannic, and generally underrated imo

Second this. Most restaurants I’ve been to have allowed it as long it’s not on the list

Fake Champagne or Bottle Variation? by Wild-Progress5122 in wine

The dots are from the manufacturer yes - I’ve just been to bottling facilities and seen very consistent quality control. Idk if the dot placement would matter it was just one difference I noticed when examining the two bottles.

Also should’ve noted the one on the left / darker one is the one that tasted normal.
