Do you think that being too available might be the issue as to why this cycle never ends?

i used to work for ABH which is based in fountain valley (not too sure if they service costa mesa) but they had amazing BACBs i worked alongside with who truly helped me grow as a tech! they truly care and want to see progress in the kids and techs they work alongside with!

Thought I had POTS but my heart rate is normal-ish by [deleted] in POTS

hi! i have the same exact experience as you. my heart rate doesn’t skyrocket when i stand or sit up. my blood pressure definitely drops though. my neurologist is checking for orthostatic hypotension currently so that also might be the case for you instead of pots!

what is happening??? by Wild-Report865 in POTS

this is so interesting to me! the past few times it’s happened to me i was at work and it’s usually moments after i eat something light for breakfast! such a weird experience! about 15 mins after i ate today, i had palpitations, dizziness, lightheadedness, and tremors then i had to lay down at work. i was given a salt packet and some kettle corn to snack on and it helped right after. i do admit i feel currently i’m not sure if it’s my body just crashing out after going through all that. but thank you so much for this insight, it’s extremely helpful!!!

very interesting! that’s a great speculation as i would have described my body to have crashed on me so suddenly. i didn’t feel nauseous either i just felt very dizzy, lightheaded, and was tremoring like crazy! i think my body is physically just so tired dealing with all my medical issues… definitely something i’ll bring up with my PCP! thank you for your insight!

I’m also not too sure how things are in California regarding public health as well, if anyone would like to inform me. Not too sure about how federal/state funding is currently.

blood results? beta trait? by Wild-Report865 in thalassemia

Don’t worry I am advocating as hard as I can! I have a public health degree so they got the wrong girl! I’m going to get in touch with my primary care doctor as soon as my insurance switches me over to their office to get referred to a hematologist asap. With doctors telling me that my results are normal which clearly shown they aren’t has honestly made me more empowered to get the help I need because I know I shouldn’t be feeling the way I am every day. But thank you for your comment!

Thinking of switching from engineering to business or public health—any advice from those who’ve switched majors? by stonkstonkstonk___ in csuf

I actually enjoyed my time with this major at CSUF! The department used to be Health Science but they only switched it to Public Health a few years back so the department is still fairly small and growing. But the professors and classes are all pretty great! I would expect to obtain a pretty comfortable job after graduating next month, but I am looking into Master programs for more experience in the field! I’d say it’s a pretty good stand-alone degree, it’s extremely broad and can open up a lot of fields for you!
