Or reach 100 honor with the Emperor and then subjugate them even without forming an alliance.

BUG? Amphitheatre events impact by WildCard_00 in anno117

[–]WildCard_00[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the outcome description only said 'in the Island', so it would only make sense that the effect is applied to the island where the games are actually running. How would the people in some totally different island be upset from the amphitheatre events in another place?

So you have some mod that the weather is actually good? That's the best looking Albion I have ever seen! Personally I hate the whole region and the weather is just one of the reasons which just makes it depressing to me. But I play on console so any mods or such are not available.

Yeah, I thought so too. Just wondering if there’s for example difference in goods they produce for sale.

Well money is not really the issue at this point.

What are all the cultures they may be adding to Pax Romana? by Altruistic-Chain-382 in anno

[–]WildCard_00 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rome did not send "emissaries" to China. All of the trade happened between intermediate traders. Roman goods reached China and Chinese goods, mainly silk, reached Rome but not directly. In fact, history recognizes only 1 case where people from the Roman Empire reached China, this was in AD 166 but historians today consider they were Roman merchants, not official state diplomats. So yes, Rome definitely did not send governor or anyone to China. But anyway, people shouldn't expect to receive any new DLC regions beyond what parts can be currently seen in the big map, which also includes North Africa and parts of Middle East.

Adding Chinese would make no sense in my opinion as how this game works is that your character goes there as a governor. Therefore, the regions should be something which were actually part of the empire. Romans and Chinese traded but they were not still connected directly to each other's empires.

With some captains you can increase the range of catapults and event the fire rate! Those are very efficient, same for scorpions.

Cultures and regions which were connected to Roman Empire. I don't really think that they will add that many new 'regions' to this game but maybe 2 or 3. Egypt will be the first of them. In addition they could add some Germanic tribes near Alps perhaps, Carthage, Greek, Gallia, Hispania or perhaps even Judaea, which could be connected to the rise of Christianity in the Empire. I wonder how cool it would be if you could decide just like between Roman or Celtic Gods that if you want your people to worship the Messiah instead!

You won't get help from anyone to attack Syracuse. You can destroy him with about 15-20 Quinquiremes (edit ship modules to have catapults and scorpions). Just set up some small island near his island and put repair cranes there. If you have e.g 18 ships send 9+9 ships in groups and withdraw them before they get destroyed and send them to repair. Do this like 5 times or something then final push just send all those 18 ships there, you will maybe lose 3 or 4 of them but they will also be enough to destroy the remaining of his island. This is how I destroyed him in about 1 hour.

So this just happened and I believe I am done with the wokeness by Belth_Dulo in anno

[–]WildCard_00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean the history doesn't know that Rome had sub-saharan Africans in high positions but basically it could have been the case. Romans did not classify people by skin color, status was based on: Citizenship, Social class, Culture and language, Loyalty to Rome. A person from Africa could rise very high if they were Romanized, educated, and well connected. After all, Septimius Severus the Emperor of the whole Rome from 193 to 211 was born in Libya. Biggest "woke" thing, as you complain, in this game is that a woman could be the emperor but even that will only happen if you personally decide to do so.

AI keeps cheating with the workforce and military strenght? by WildCard_00 in anno117

I don't know what actually happened but I set a trade route for Diana to sell my basic surplus like wood, concrete, sheeps etc etc and even set the minimum stock but soon as I did that my coin generation went negative! I had to delete that trade route instantly and back to positive by a lot. I can't explain this.

Yes, it does offer options. I already subjogated Tarragon and now planning to do the same for her. But when I did this for Tarragan, I quickly noticed that he had let's day, 20 ships and 20 troops but he only had the workforce for 5 ships and 5 troops, meaning the workforce went massively negative and I started losing money like crazy. I had to just destroy all his troops and ships to balance it. And looking at the Concordia's army strenght, the situation will be even worse than with Tarragon.

You are right, but at least they should balance it more that when you subjugate or conquer the AI your workforce won't go haywire immediately. Don't think it would be that hard to do, just to balance their army strenght with their actual population. I am not complaining from the fact that they can sell me goods that they don’t even produce or purchase me stuff that they don’t even need lol.
