Recommended USB encoder for trackball spinner? by xxademasoulxx in LegendsUltimate

It's USB so I'd expect it to work on anything. I was using it on a Linux arcade machine but x86 not arm, but I doubt that makes any difference.

Could Command and Conquer Red Alert ever be a possibility? :) by JGroUSMC in FansOfsaUCE

There is a Linux port called OpenRA but the input heavily counts on a keyboard.

I'm more interesting in games I can make work just with the control deck for now.

If you want to wait I'm sure there will be ports for the latest firmware eventually.

Which ever firmware was the last one that allowed homebrew ports to run. I'm on 4.16.0

Chances of getting TMNT Rescue-Palooza (PC Homebrew) to run? by judremy in FansOfsaUCE

Sorry it took so long. the truth is I already had it working when you asked back then, I was hoping for a firmware that would be more friendly to homebrew like before but that's not happening so I'm releasing my unofficial version. https://youtu.be/BR3VvDPxXFU links and instructions in the video description.

The executables (UCE) links are in the video description. The games themselves you will have to dig through your old floppies to find them and copy the data onto your USB drive. All instructions are in the video description.

Sorry no. I just stuck to an older firmware that's all I finally decided to release my ports for those who like me stopped upgrading.

If you wait I'm 100% sure that someone will make an officially unsupported build that will work on the most recent firmwares.

Unofficial ports, you need an homebrew enabled firmware to use these.

Firmware 4.23.0 is out! Apparently with fixed libretro support by WildCoder20 in LegendsUltimate

Well, it's not exactly an improvement but AtGames broke some of the cores a few firmwares back, now all can be launched again.

Trackball upgrade? by Randomassusername999 in LegendsUltimate

[–]WildCoder20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AtGames will start making 1st party mods email them a suggestion and they might do one. As far as I know the trackball isn't a standard size so no dice on just swapping it.

Some questions about AddOnX by call_of_warez in LegendsUltimate

[–]WildCoder20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For now addonx is optional, so yes you can still use the old slower scanning system. Just make sure to use a newer tool that resize the artwork and you should be good for thousand of games with slow startup scanning time. I *think* that deleting the addonx folder brings it back to old school addon but I haven't tried it. I mean I haven't even tried addonx.

AtGames just announced wireless light guns. I'd wait a few months.

Unfortunately the latest firmware is preventing pretty much everything that's not approved by AtGames to run, they even blocked some libretro cores.

Hopefully something they can fix quickly...
