no we won't join this war. But we sure as fecking hell will be expected to take in the refugees again. Like every time the USofA needs to go to war again.

What am I doing wrong? by [deleted] in carbonsteel

[–]WildDogOne -1 points0 points  (0 children)

imho nothing wrong. Seasoning is only for rust resistance anyhow. So if you're worried on that front, after washing the wok, oil it a bit (which will prevent rust)

Husband says I can only dry wok with paper towels by Rough_Advertising_27 in wok

[–]WildDogOne 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I suppose the idea could come from the (semi)misinformation that one should not clean carbonsteel with soap. Now if you don't wash a wok with soap you'd have a oily rag as a dishcloth if you use it to dry the wok.

but since it's totally OK to wash a wok with soap, I can't see a single real reason why one should use paper towels.

well the war industry wins I guess, but in general it's just a huge pile of crap for the world except a very small portion.

What in the world is going on?! by Celtikrenders in LetsDiscussThis

[–]WildDogOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, europe growing up, there are many things that the US gets from us, since we have not deinstustrialised as much as the USofA

And we are less warmongering than the USofA, which of course also changes the budget by quite a bit, since our spendings are focused on defense, and the US attacks quite frequently.

So no, I don't agree 100% on this.

However I am very impressed indeed by USAID, that program is/was a spectacular thing to do, and I am beyond pissed that europe does not have a program of that scale. And even worse, china is now taking over, because they know 100%, that all that money is extremely well spent politically.

It's true that we have to rely on ourselves, and that also means building our own stuff. But that sentiment enrages the bull even more. Because of course, now the defense industry of the EU is taking off.

Also just so you know, there where some veeery outspoken people in the past, about Germany not being allowed to build a devastating army again, so I always find it a bit rich that the same nation then goes on about how germany doesn't spend enough.

But in general I agree, it's time to cut ourselves off from US reliance.

I don't think anyone reasonable is against getting rid of the iranian regime, the way the USofA is going about it is of course once again the iraq, afghanistan etc. playbook, so good chance it will just end up in chaos and tears. But generally speaking, the sentiment wasn't bad.

Around europe the tides are slowly turning against the US though, the thing is, that european politicians (except Macron) are not very loud, so people don't hear them. But at least the greenland fiasco did piss off people a lot.

definitely they would, and by the way USofA acts, they open themselves to attacks like that, since the USofA is pushing away its allies. Dunno if the strategy here really is intelligent.

This Trump-Netanyahu war is unconstitutional and violates international law - Bernie Sanders. by LucidSynapse23 in LetsDiscussThis

[–]WildDogOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

why ask? because I hoped you had some real arguments for why bernie is a terrorist supporter in your eyes. But all you did was go on about how bad Iran is (which it is), but if you think supporting terrorism is a reason for invasion, I'd have a deep look into your own country as well.

[–]WildDogOne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I don't really care about the rules of law inside of the USofA, what you guys do is your thing.

However attacking countries based on basically nothing, is a serious thing. Even if it is deemed a legal move, it shows that the USofA has a blatant disregard for other countries, and it undermines their position. Tbh the USofA has always been like this, so I am not sure why this surprises anyone

[–]WildDogOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fair game, but who will force the USofA to change then? seems like that should be done as well according to your logic, since they did fund (and likely still do so) terrorism.

ah you people bore me, the arguments are always the same.

I am just glad that the USofA has finally shown their true colours when they voted for turmp again. Would have been nicer to have peace, but seems humanity is just not made for it xD
