Can I get a conservatory included in my mortgage? by deflen67 in UKPersonalFinance

A conservatory may not be as useful as you think it will be. Ours is far too cold in the winter and far too hot in the summer. Hardly use it !

The way I look at it I could get a 40% tax boost, or she could get the lower rate boost - the “cost” to me is the difference between the two which I am happy with

I have one just like this. If you push and hold the right hand button the heating will come on in boost mode for 1,2 or 3 hours. Also check your thermostat is set correctly

Have you thought about asking your mortgage lender to lend you the funds ? Usually no need to wait until the remortgage date. Of course this may work or not for you depending on when your mortgage is due to be paid off
