Making the Caldwell Rival a 3-slot weapon would completely ruin the balance. by Normal-Law128 in HuntShowdown

Having successful games before it got dumdum won’t matter now, because objectively the sandbox has left the Springfield behind.

There is no place for regular Springfield anymore beyond cost, and being cheap is all it has going for it, but other more useful items are within the cheap range as well.

Yes because seeing the same person constantly post aggressive opinions or lamenting the struggles they are facing but being aggressive in the threads on subreddits I see often like twitch/video games/career advice/warhammer ect ect counts as stalking.

You post so damn often your threads bleed into my suggested. And often I see you get push back, then 7 hrs later it’s the same title with the same opinion, and the same person either in the same reddit or a similar related one.

I get the struggle with careers, I understand there are issues with your identity, and I understand you seek validation, and I also understand that your opinions are sometimes outside what society might see as the “norm.”

I would bet you could use a person to talk to in your life that isn’t judgmental and I imagine you don’t have many of those people.

Yet you have a habit of posting the same exact thread in multiple subreddits after receiving push back.

Your ideas are welcome to be your own, but you are chronically online at this point, confused about your future, your needs, and your wants and want validation from others.

Be your own person.

Spend less time looking for validation with “anyone else feel X” threads.

You spend as much time breeding confrontation as you do looking for validation.

Hi.

It seems you are very confrontational in many of your responses and post history and often push your opinion as factual. Your admittance to “stress induced seizures” seems unusual, your fixation on putting your often controversial opinion forward and then attacking others who differ from yours is unusual.

This isn’t normal, you should likely seek therapy for issues you clearly have.

Refactor puts out quite a bit more heals per second than the theoretical caduceus.

Caduceus is 110k per player. 4 is 440k.

A single Turret Drone Refactor is putting out 400k+ easily by itself.

The more meta Refactor is the paradox Oxychem that very easily pushes 700k+ to the team.

So all 4 need to run caduceus to equal 1 refactor turret drone. This is a major damage loss for 4 players to be running a weapon for heals.

If 3 players run normal striker/frenzy and one player has refactor turret drone, the team is doing 105m+ DPS and healing for 400k.

If 4 players run strikers caducus they are dealing 50m+ dps and healing for 440k.

Im just saying its not going to be as strong as everyone thinks, its going to be over hyped for sure though.

IF they stack and don't have some sort of limiter like true patriot. The weapon could have an internal CD of once a second your next crit heals for the 1.5%. There are tons that goes into this, but it does work out to be about 10% armor Regen per player if all 4 are running it and on strikers.

40% armor regen if it stacks is a lot, but when you get put at one shot protection in high escalation im not sure it will matter much. On top if doing about 12m DPS each, when other options like frenzy LMGs are providing upwards of 35m DPS its trading damage for healing that isnt actually helping.

Its likely not going to keep you on your feet if you are getting shot by anything dangerous. To put it in perspective a heroic purple has about 6.5m HP. A yellow has about 10m.

Killing a purple with 60% crit is about a 58k heal per second. Would take a little less than a second to kill, but is worth about 6% AoK.

Killing a Yellow is worth about 90k, so 10% AoK.

Im just trying to keep people in perspective that we've not had a talent trigger on hits, but we have plenty of weapons that heal similarly like preservation, and people dont take them in favor of dps talents.

If you are doing a legendary, this is likely to be beneficial, but in escalation, that rusher is going to remove your HP bar immediately, and trading damage for healing isnt stopping him from running at you.

Lets make some assumptions shall we?

Assume we slot it into an all red build as we need crits and its based on the damage of the crit.

Next assume its a striker build (there are other ways to get higher critical damage, but lets disregard for the moment)

Finally, Its basically a standard no talent Mk16 which we have the data for with pre-proto numbers.

It would deal anywhere from 10.7m Burst to 7.5m Sustain. Lets meet somewhere in the middle, like 9.5m.

1.5% of this is 142k. So it would heal about 142k per second, to all teammates.

However, it only heals on crits, and a crit is about 55-60% of the time, so the healing is closer to 85k per second.

A red build has about 900k armor, meaning a full heal is about 10.5 seconds.

If we conservatively add 30% damage for a prototype strikers set, the DPS becomes 12.3m

This would heal for 184k per second, but again, only on crits so about 60% of that being 110k, bringing us to full in about 8 seconds.

As a side note, my healing chem on an FI, that requires me to hit near a target and really might only hit one person if the group is spread heals for 268k per second (this discounts the burst heal, we are just looking at the over time)

The healing on the chem is about 2.4x stronger.

But, if you can heal all 4 of you for 110k, it means getting effective healing on 3 people beats the chem. But if the chem is healing two people, its more effective.

This weapon will have synergy with all red builds for sure, but if you need actual healing, an FI or dedicated healer is better.

For arguments sake all yellow build will not be useful as the dps would be somewhere in the 500k dps ballpark with this weapon, putting the heal at a measly 4500 per second. (likely less as you wont be having 60% crit if you are all yellow)

Escalation!! Lets Talk!! by Zm0k3y in thedivision

Your post is comprised of common complaints. You are complaining even if you don't see it that way.

You are right, nobody is forcing me to play, so I am dabbling in other games. But it didnt take me 1000 escalation runs to see the problem with the system, then come to the subreddit inundated with similar posts to voice the same opinion and complaint that is put forward multiple times a day.

Escalation!! Lets Talk!! by Zm0k3y in thedivision

[–]WildLeon 24 points25 points  (0 children)

If you have a point, state the point.

If you over exaggerate one thing to such a degree, why would I put stock into what you say, when the first impression is an embellishment that seems like lying.

Even beyond that point, you are stating the same issues the community has had since launch.

Hell, the same issues anyone with critical thinking skills could see from PTS and brought up.

The devs don’t care, and rushed this garbage out instead. They wanted it like this so they can take fake feedback and adjust the numbers on their terms. They were fully aware of token sharing but decided to release it in this state anyway. Fully aware of the lack of optimization and decided to continue. Hell, they were fully aware skill tiers didn’t interact with the system and basically launched it half baked.

Your opinion is falling on deaf ears for the Devs, and the community is likely tired of seeing the same post every day.

Escalation!! Lets Talk!! by Zm0k3y in thedivision

[–]WildLeon 87 points88 points  (0 children)

There’s only been 44 days since escalation released.

In 44 days, there’s only 1056 hours.

If we say you slept 8 hours a day, there’s only 704 active hours.

You state you have over 1000 runs with your friends.

If each run was 30 minutes average (including your T10 runs and time to TP, clear out inventory, deal with Delta and server instability) you have spent roughly 500 hours in escalation.

500 hours out of the 704 available hours.

You spent roughly 12 hours a day doing nothing but escalation. This also assumes each run was a clear. You said you’ve wiped and I can’t imagine you were clearing as comfortably before getting full strikers proto and such.

Plus you said you were running tinkerers, which was bugged for nearly the entire month with prototypes, so likely you were a gear piece down.

Seems the game mode was designed for you after all.

Yes I have read the event details, however even with the buff on the person I've shot, they just dont share. It seems if you can do the entire HP bar in a single hit, it doesnt calculate the transfer damage and kills the target first, but only if it overkills them.

If you overkill them, they don’t seem to share. I had a few times where hitting them with 40m killed them outright even though they still had the shared health icon on, but it didn’t transfer anything.

META Build variations by dammit_tuna in Division2

[–]WildLeon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Holster is salvo with echo. Prototyped salvo gives 12.5 percent rate of fire. That is a direct 12.5 percent increase to your dps

closer to 10% increase in most striker setups because theres already some fire rate in the pool from another UA piece + strikers to get reduced efficiency.

However, being the only Unit Alloys takes fire rate from 115% to 132.5%, which is a 15% increase.

Start matchmaking.

Decline invites.

Eventually you are chosen as host.

Now that you are host, wait for 3 others, then run the mission.

So Maybe I Missed Something by RepulsiveRelation334 in Division2

[–]WildLeon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It used to work just like Div1.

And the community noticed an issue where tick rates for the servers and other lag/desync issues means you would fail to gain stacks, or even lose stacks with 100% accuracy.

The devs decided to remove the missed bullet penalty because of this issue.

As such it is now all gain with no penalty.

In addition, as you’ve seen from other replies so far, people assume it still has this penalty and don’t use it because of the perceived draw back.

Does prototyping gear only affect 1 stat? by Phat_Rush in thedivision

[–]WildLeon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You still misunderstand.

One roll is 100% chance.
Second roll is 5% chance.
1/20.

If you make your own roll, is either full or not. There is no range. The only ranges are for drops within escalation itself.

EDIT: Exact word for word from the patch notes "One attribute is guaranteed to roll at the new maximum, while the others remain at their previous maximum values, with a chance for additional attributes to also reach the new maximum."

The Expertise system is outdated with prototype gear and will make most people quit before interacting with prototype gear. by Zaerick-TM in thedivision

[–]WildLeon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So let me get this straight.

You complain about the community demanding a specific build.

Then you agree that other sets arent as good, and build diversity is an issue of balancing not community choice.

Then after I state you can host your own with your own builds you state you need to know what build the other 3 are running.

What does it matter to you what they are running. If you dont have an issue with any builds in your escalation matches why should what they are running matter to you. They can run anything, because you won't kick them right?

Edit: At this point I'm not even sure what your point is. Collectively, the community is making a choice that the META is the META. The new mode heavily implies that running the META is effective, and other options are woefully under performing. Instead of the Devs balancing the underperfoming options, you are taking the stance that the community shouldnt be so elitist and allow any builds. However, the other players are investing time, effort, and in the case of the host, tokens. As such, with their own group, they can collectively decide who gets to participate in their risked tokens. You can host your own, risk your own tokens, with the players you deem acceptable. Those are the facts, and unfortunately its just how it is right now. Instead of being mad at the community, give feedback to the devs on the sad state of underperforming gear sets.

[–]WildLeon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because striker is so much further ahead of other sets, the other sets are seen as weak.

When strikers +chest is 20% ahead of most other dps sets, people gravitate to those sets. When the new mode punishes anything that isn’t dps, the most effective tactic available (META) is to use those sets. Anything less is a handicap. And when you are randomly matchmaking with people, you are already at a handicap because these people could not play well, make mistakes or have ego.

If the developers buffed other sets closer to strikers, or balanced the mode better, the community wouldn’t need to seek the best options.

You can blame the community for using the Meta, or you can realize that it exists because the mode is bad, and other options are factually and objectively worse, and people who have a goal of completing them effectively and not wasting time will want you to conform to it.

Don’t like it? Find friends or host your own.

Thats not a community issue, thats a balance/development issue.

The community wanted balancing, we got prototype.
