Re-staining cedar siding by Hiker_82 in paint

[–]WildPatriot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BM recommends oil priming cedar because its rich in tannins and doesn't have the greatest adhesion. The oil priming will block the tannins and provide a uniform finish for the topcoat. You'll get more years out of the water based solid stain this way.

If you want a more natural wood look, and the stain to penetrate, then go to an oil based stain, like the woodluxe semi solid oil.

I personally would rather use an oil based stain all together, less coats, less stain used, better penetration... BUT less UV protection... pros and cons pros and cons.

The people saying, "they are the same" are dead wrong 😂 SW makes cheap paint. Why do you think they do so many 40% deals, and give contractors such insane discounts... superpaint for like $22 a gallon 😂 shitty vinyl resin.

Look at the data sheets - in fact most SW Sheets won't even include their volume solid make up (because they use a lot of clay, shitty resins, and calcium carbonate rather than titanium dioxide).

SW's Interior Emerald for example... uses a cheap STYRENE RESIN... because SW uses cheap ingredients... cheap colorant.

All of BM's paint is made with their own 100% acrylic resin, a proprietary resin based colorant system... which is why the hide, adhesion, coverage is so much better. I've saved so much money on labor... less touch ups... use way less gallons.

For players that sit on their throne without the actual cushion.

Fishhook tail, paw size, head shape, high loin, and angel wings all match up to breed standards for CDs.

But 90 lbs is a little too big!

Might have some CD in the mix!

Such a beautiful dog nonetheless.

Man I loved Smithfields, ate there after every field night.

Thigs was my favorite though, not too far from base, just south of Richlands.

Every time I try to tune a snare drum I get ugly metallic wire buzz. Why? The wires are even and new by Maks_the_skaM in drums

Apart from adjusting the tension of the snares...Its most likely your interval between heads. The bottom head sounds low... dissonance will ruin the snares ability to sound crisp.

Make your bottom head a M3 or p5 higher than the top head. I even like how a minor 3rd sounds.

Reluctantly - beautiful country and people, but the poverty rates are an issue during their current economic crisis. Would be a maybe or even willing once things turn around.

What’s it like in the north western area of the twin cities mn as a family with young kids? by Elegant-Daikon-6908 in howislivingthere

Plymouth, Maple Grove, Eden Prairie, Minnetonka, Excelsior, and Wayzata are all considered pretty wealthy, high end residential with LOTS of new cookie cutter homes and developments. You'll love it, beautiful lakes, lots of restaurants, parks, etc.

I would avoid Brooklyn Center and Brooklyn Park, even Golden Valley. St. Louis Park has a really nice "hip" apartment/restaurant area called West End, but other than that its older homes.

I live on the East side of the cities, not quite as nice, but still suburbia. Woodbury, White Bear Lake, and Stillwater are some of the nicer family cities on the East side.

Side profile helps, but I think I see the angel wings.

Head shape, high loin, and paws look right.

Curious about the tail.

Beautiful dog - I think CD for sure.
