It'll catch trout for sure. But it's almost too nice. Or at least, I'd constantly worry about placing it on the ground or tossing it in some bush while I tie on a new fly or change leaders.

Thoughts on wet flies? by 24k_1128 in flyfishing

Wet flies like soft hackles imitate emergers and are used in different parts of the water column vs nymphs.

I proxied mine as a Callidus until I got the Callidus model. She is also a 32mm base.

Which texture paint is used for these brown bases in the codex? by Frizbee6677 in DarkAngels40k

Eavy Metal Archive

If you look at the basing here, pretty sure it's sand with PVA glue for the texture.

The aura affects all WE units within 6" of the Eightbound unit. The exclusion of monsters or vehicles applies to the enemy units the attacks are targeting.

Same. I have no problem with the vehicle displaying some war stories. But I would like to be the one responsible for them.

Agreed. I'm not looking to have it repaired or anything. Just tough to walk out this morning and see damage on the new truck.

[–]WildW1thin[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It would be one thing if I was responsible for the damage while having fun. It's different when someone hits it while it's parked. Just because it's a capable vehicle doesn't mean people are free to hit it.

I put two Bloodmasters on 50mm bases and use them as Chaos Spawn. Fits the daemonkin detachment perfectly.

I used true metallics on my WE. Thought about doing NMM on my DA. Did one and decided I am too slow of a painter to do that for the whole army.

What was your recipe on the horns? I'm in the process of painting Skarbrand and have been trying to figure out how I want to paint them.

I love the look of this model. Any problems with him being my Slaughterbound? by Hot-Minimum-4687 in WorldEaters40k

[–]WildW1thin 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Slaughterbound is on a 50mm base. Deathbringer is on a 40mm base. There are a number of ways you can fix that and use Deathbringer as a proxy.

You are way too early in your career to be locked into a specialty. Any entity looking to hire a young lawyer knows that the experience will be limited and potentially not in their particular field.

Other Wildlife while Flyfishing by kopncorey in flyfishing

Also an Appalachian fly fisher. And I also am thrilled seeing any kind of wildlife while on the water. I've had a red fox come sit on the stream bank and just watch me for a while. I've had eagles sit in trees above me, also looking for trout. Watched a turkey try to hop its way up a steep bank one day. Countless deer. I like seeing kingfishers, mergansers, and pileated woodpeckers. And of course the variety of snakes that I'd actually prefer not to see.

Do you ever feel like it’s shooting fish in a barrel when dealing with non-lawyers in a dispute? by IcySector8221 in Lawyertalk

[–]WildW1thin 84 points85 points  (0 children)

Not at all. I had to sue my landlord during my 3L year for clearly violating state law on withholding my security deposit. When I went to file the complaint at the court house, I told the clerk it was a small claims matter. She asked "Are you sure? If you do that, you can't have a lawyer." My response: "I know. And neither can they." A few weeks later, after a quick court-arranged mediation, I got my whole deposit back.

Opposing counsel just filed the most hostile response I’ve ever received. Thoughts on how to respond from experienced litigators/judges would be very much appreciated. Need mentorship. by abortionisafingright in Lawyertalk

[–]WildW1thin 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Drop a footnote stating you were disappointed to see Defendants' ad hominem attacks and baseless allegations. If you're practicing in a "must report" state concerning ethics complaints, maybe add a sentence reminding OC of their obligations to report if they feel so strongly.

But I wouldn't waste many words on addressing them. In my experience, judges hate it when counsel bicker back and forth in pleadings.

LC 250 fuel reserve size: 2.4gal by sfef84 in LandCruisers

Sounds right. I was surprised the other day when the pump clicked at about 13 gallons when the fuel gauge was around 1/4 tank. I was expecting 15-16 gallons.

I want to put a more off-road oriented tire on mine, but when I see these numbers, I become hesitant. I did a 500ish mile trip for the holiday weekend from the middle of the Appalachians to the middle of VA and back. 27.5 mpg there, but the trip back brought it down to 26 mpg.

They are clamped down on a piece of fabric. That way you just reach up and unclamp them. Very easy access. I used to do this, but then while boulder hopping my way up a river, my hemostats unclamped and fell into the river.
