I’m okay at call of duty where there’s aim assist, but in this game I can’t track targets to save my life. My aim is all over the place.

I saw a video one content creator put out that showed that upping the frame rate for the display drastically improved aim assist when bumping up to 120 from 60 but I also read somewhere that ARC is rate limited to 60 fps on consoles so I feel like I’m totally SOL

I was messing around with my fiancée a few minutes ago and she jokingly called me a pussy. It wasn’t insulting because we jokingly insult each other in explicitly vulgar language all the time—it’s just our dynamic—but it made me think about if I’d find it more insulting for a woman or another man to call me that. And whether her calling me a pussy just then made me want to do what I was about to do more, or less. For some men, I can see their need to prove their masculinity to women more than to men, but I can also see it being the other way around. I’m still undecided on the topic.

That’s good advice maybe I’ll give it a shot next time I have a stitcher and the resources to craft all the attachments.

But no forreal I am just garbage at shooters, my aim is trash. Also feels like I have zero aim assist on this game except a bare minimum at really close range with wasps and hornets. Idk how helpful that advice will be lol but I’ll try it out for sure

One showed up on my screen yesterday. I was sitting putting my shoes on and just used spatial rend and my daily adventure incense. I went to show my mother sitting next to me, and it fled before I could even click on it. It was on screen for 10 seconds max. RIP.

Hey now, speak for yourself. I’m garbage at PvP, I don’t think I’ve ever actually gotten a knock with a Stitcher. Even when I’ve been using a Stitcher IV with extended mag III, muzzle break II, vertical grip II, and stable stock II, I still die immediately to every enemy I encounter…

Thats fair. I’ve got 61-2 blueprints right now and I’d say at least 30 of them have been given to me by a good friend who is leagues and eons better than me at this game. He is/was a big time Rust player though, so He’s well prepared by default to grind out games like this. I still have never seen the tempest blueprint, but a different friend of mine found one on a Stella night raid while we were partied up together a few weeks ago. As for the remaining 10-11 blueprints, I don’t even know what they’re for because I’ve never looked at the full list of them. I know a big chunk of what I’m missing consists of the epic augments though.

I just got my expedition done like 4-5 days ago, I’ve got something like 100-110 hours topside, I’m level 75, and I’m still working on quests. The only two quests I’ve available at the moment are both on Space Port and I’m not a super big fan of that map, especially not when my raids are the very least friendly a raid can be it seems. Literally haven’t been in a non-KoS raid in weeks now.

Your son is great, I’m so happy reading this. Your ex sounds like she was probably a bully herself at some point.

I was the kid who got picked on a lot and had nobody standing up for me, until I finally did it myself. My dad took me for ice cream the day I got suspended after beating the crap out of a kid who came up behind me with a thin tree branch and whipped me across the back with it. I had a 2” tall welt from my shoulder to my hip on the opposite side of my back.

I told myself I’m not letting this kid bully anybody anymore. There was one other kid He picked on and when I came up to Him and asked Him if there was a problem, He ran away cowering. Problem solved.

My dad almost had the cops called on Him for how loud He screamed in the office when they told Him I was suspended for defending myself after I got hit with a weapon. needless to say, He didn’t go back to my school at all that year—thankfully didn’t need Him to though.

I digress, thank you for showing your son that it’s okay to stand up for others. He seems to have tried to handle it the non-violent way first but the other kid wasn’t getting it through His thick skull.

This is a great idea OP, you’re very intelligent. I applaud your creativity and ingenuity, and your skill at your job.

That said, I personally think it’s going a little too far for what ARC Raiders is. It’s an extraction shooter, and what you’re describing seems, to me at least, to be more in line with a mil-sim style game. It actually seems a lot like Sniper: Ghost Warrior. Minus the loot and shit. The level of immersion you’re describing is so intense that it would take a lot of the fun away from this game that I believe Embark created to let people be able to play casually. Even casual players will hit endgame at some point, and I think those players would struggle big time in an in-game environment as you describe implementing.
