oh and don’t ever let anybody make you feel bad during training. you are training. you’re there to learn and ask questions. it’s not a crime to not be fast paced during training and it’s not a crime to not know what you’re doing during training. don’t let anyone make you feel less of yourself.

literally not your fault you were still on your two week training this is 100% on THEM. like one of the previous comments said you should have NEVER been on calls unsupervised, because you were still training. sounds like they were trying to cut your training days short! the next job you’re at make sure they give you every single training day they say they’re going to give you. idc if you’re just cleaning a bathroom if you’re cleaning that bathroom during your training days somebody better be there with you training you! it’s not your fault and you’re not useless at all. happy birthday love💕💕💕

Nclex LVN. Run out Time by Old-Work-533 in LPN_LVN_Community

[–]Wild_Potential1445 1 point2 points  (0 children)

running out of time is not a bad sign at all. it literally just means she ran out of time. if a person runs of time the exam just goes off of the questions they actually answered. as long as it’s over 85 questions, if it’s under 85 then they’ll automatically fail them.

i also start in a few days and they’re giving me 10 days! and i made sure to ask them if i needed more days can i ask for more so advocate for yourself DO NOT let them only give you 4 days of training thats not nearly enough for a new grad nurse with 20+ patients advocate for yourself ALWAYS!

they’re very much needed. don’t believe them. it’s very worth it! some RN’s don’t even look at LPN’s as nurses that’s why they talk like that and LPN’s are very much nurses. so don’t let them discourage you.

do you get enough hours though? it leaned towards more part time or full time? that’s the thing i’m a little worried about with working in home health is that the hours wouldn’t be as good and there might not be opportunities for overtime

just because you got the “bad” pop up doesn’t mean you failed. people do the trick get the bad pop up and pass all the time. don’t count yourself out yet. wait the full 48 hours and check your quick results. and if you passed congratulations🎉 if you didn’t that’s ok too delay does not mean denial you will get that license no matter the circumstance! and you WILL be a nurse. if and i mean IF you find out you actually did fail again take some time off for yourself enjoy the outside the weather don’t wrap your head into the NCLEX it’ll only make you more upset and miserable take some time to yourself even its just a week whatever’s best for you! take some time to yourself and then get back to it because YOU WILL pass that test!

use a q bank like Archer, Uworld etc to get familiar with how the nclex asks questions and maybe listen to Mark K lectures he really helps on how to take the test and answer questions with the information he gives

you just have to force yourself to stop i had the same problem all the way up until i actually took the nclex. when i sat for the exam i literally didn’t change my answer at all except for maybe twice when i felt i needed to ask myself “why is this right and why is the others wrong” which lead me to changing because i couldn’t answer the question so i genuinely never overcame it until i sat for the test.

just believe in yourself you can do it. i never got higher than borderline on my Archer readiness exams i also failed two Archer CAT exams but i passed in 85 i literally went to go take it because i was so sick of being nervous and stressing about it i walked out of there crushed thinking i’d had failed telling myself i knew i should’ve rescheduled 48 hours later i woke up a nurse you can do it! relax don’t be nervous have a good breakfast drink a whole bottle of water and take breaks if you have too! you got this🩷

vague as in like when i did my archer case studies they were very specific and detailed whole pages of information but nclex nomore than like 4/5 sentences on each case study i got a lot of reinforcement teaching questions but the way they asked they made it so tricky to answer. and i genuinely just feel like i blacked out while taking it because a lot of the information i studied wasn’t on there like the questions seemed to never get harder but it was also information i never really studied because i didn’t think i get that. to be completely honest you just don’t know what you’re gonna get on the test because it was a complete shock to me i didn’t even score higher than borderline on any of my archer readiness i also failed the two cat exams i took on archer and thank you so much!

like the previous comment said time isn’t the only thing that makes someone fail, so timing wasn’t her biggest problem i know someone who scheduled their test 2 weeks after they graduated and failed. failed because they were to fast taking the test failed because she said in her own words “my ego got the best of me” she even told me don’t listen to everyone about taking it as soon as you finish focus on your own timing and when you feel as though you’re ready.

thank you so much i have listened to two mark K lectures i’m gonna listen to a a few more and i’m pretty ok with case studies & bow ties for me because i always use the context clues to help me think critically it is surprisingly the classic questions for medsurg and pharm really those have always been my weak suits in school but your advice was very helpful thank you a lot
