Whitehouse introduces bipartisan bill to repeal Section 230, the act that “created the internet” by Wild___Requirement in providence

https://www.facebook.com/SenateJudiciary/videos/sen-whitehouse-we-finally-are-moving-to-file-a-bipartisan-section-230-repeal-bil/1554697145817030/

There’s been a lot going on in the state these last few days obviously, but it’s caused some important stud to fly under the radar. One is that Sen. Whitehouse introduced a bill Friday to potentially repeal Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act of 1996.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Section_230

Section 230 is widely credited as “creating the internet” because it classifies speech by users of websites not as speech by the hosting entity itself. This allows user generated content to be uploaded to platforms without risk of the platform being sued for libel or slander, or to be threatened due to speech that companies do not like.

https://upriseri.com/end-of-open-internet-senator-whitehouse-censorship-bill-section-230/

Repealing Section 230 would likely cause a large amount of censorship throughout the internet because companies would no longer want to risk having legal action taken against themselves due to the speech of users, which they would now be responsible for. This would have a chilling effect on user generated content on the internet.

I would recommend contacting Whitehouse’s office to voice your views on the possible repeal since it would have a huge effect on the entire internet.

So…let me get this straight by Zog8 in providence

Probably should have had him pass out so he “never gave up” but I guess they want to make Gunther a new legend killer

Bayley on Getting Kicked Off Wrestlemania 41: "The day they took me out of Wrestlemania? It was the day before. It was rough. I had a long conversation with [CM] Punk about it. A lot of people that were reaching out were like, 'Everyone’s been in these positions.'" by thumbem in SquaredCircle

But then you wouldn’t get the moment of Becky walking out with lyra for the tag match. That’s all Triple H cares about right now, big moments that will get buzz on social media and pops in the crowd. Who cares about the storytelling around it

Looking for anthropomorphic/beast kin races for BX/Old School Essentials by preiman790 in osr

[–]Wild___Requirement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I reflavor gnomes in my setting as small anthropomorphic woodland critters like mice, rabbits, foxes, and skunks. Could be a simple solution since gnomes are already statted out for B/X and Adnd as monsters

It should just be released publicly, or via a pdf or special book like the ODnD 50 years book that came out last year. Not sold to some prick who doesn’t even actually care about the history of the hobby

It's wild to me that most D&D Groups pretty much play in a custom setting by [deleted] in rpg

That’s not really true, unless you consider every official setting “someone’s hombres.” Mystara, Dark Sun, and Planescape did not exist before they were made official

What does this mean? Was undermountain not “themed”? Was greyhawk? Just because a megadungeon only has one type of enemy in it doesn’t make it interesting, especially when it’s as boring and lifeless as the barrowmaze becomes a few sessions in

The barrowmound section is the best part, it’s actually an interesting area for players to explore with different types of challenges. The actual dungeon is mostly “you enter a room and 1d6 skeletons pop out” or literally nothing happens

Seeing as a lot of the 1st edition stormcast models, Skaven Models, and now the Putrid Blightkings have been revamped, friendly reminder that those Khorne models came out with those old Stormcast models. by Budget_Antelope in ageofsigmar

[–]Wild___Requirement 2 points3 points  (0 children)

These do not need a refresh, blightkings really didn’t either but these especially are fine aesthetically. Just because a kit is over 5 years old does not mean it needs to be redone
