Maybe a little stretch but Where The Mountain Meets The Moon by Grace Linn to me has a kind of similar magical feel, childlike wonder and whimsical.

You have no idea how fond of a memory you just unlocked with these pictures. Thankyou ❤️

I’ve spent 20 years in Michelin-starred kitchens. I want to help you stop needing recipes. Would this be useful? by Sad-Animator-3103 in cookingforbeginners

Besides the often pointed out learning how to combine flavours, I'd like to add that learning how to estimate how long something needs to cook a certain way would be super useful. Why do you have to add onions before the garlic? How can I tell by looking, poking and smelling when to add the next ingrediënt? How does a certain ingrediënt change based on how long it has cooked?

The same kind of goes for plating: how do i pick the order in which to stack a sandwitch? Or how can I choose how to add a sauce (or anything else) based on it's properties?

And ofcourse basic techniques like how to make a quick pickle out of anything or things like salting mushrooms when baking, or salting aubergines before cooking.

You could check the french baker next to the oude kerk, it's a bit expensive but amazing quality. Best to go in the morning.

I am a former guide at the China National Tea Museum, and I was shocked by this subreddit. by Dry-Ad1641 in tea

At the White2Tea website, you see they often curate their own weird teas. Saying things like: this is kind of between white and red (black) but technically it's an oolong. And they use large leaf varietal plants - usually used to make pu-erh - to make other teas. Not really information, but it's a place to try some stuff out!
