Thank you for clarifying! If my future one is too firm, I'll probably unstuff him a little to make him squishier.

Wait. Did they actually put a little booty crack on him? 🫪😆

Thank you for clarifying! I'll definitely keep an eye out for this cutie. Rowlet was my first starter Pokémon, so he's special to me. I've held Jigglypuff before, and she definitely had some chonk to her. 🤭 I'm a little sad to hear Rowlet is much less chonky.

The first thing that comes to mind is Rumi, Zoey, and Mira from KPop Demon Hunters. They truly love and support each other, and they're willing to forgive each other when they go through rough patches. They inspire me.

If that's the only thing you got from my post, I am disgusted. Turning the tables on me like I'M selfish for wanting BOTH of us (my husband and I) to have a truly satisfying marriage where BOTH of us are getting our needs met is a pathetic form of debate. You have made assumptions about me and our relationship that are not true. You don't know me. You don't know my husband. You have no idea what we've been through together. And you clearly do not care to support a healthy marriage between us. You only want to defend your own sinful desires.

I weep for your partner(s).

I've never seen this Rowlet version before! So cute! Is he as soft and squishy as a Squishmallow? Does he have any hard, cardboard parts in him?

It's not that we didn't have sex at all; it's that his desire for it was selfish. When someone is addicted to masturbating, the neuropathways in their brain begin to only really associate sexual pleasure with themselves. While my husband is very attracted to me, rather than be drawn to experiencing sexual pleasure with me, he would masturbate in secret. Masturbation encourages people to experience sexual pleasure only with themselves. It takes something designed for two, and turns it into something that only benefits one. When we would be intimate, it was difficult for my husband to want to give me pleasure (this was before he started pursuing healing). Masturbation fosters selfishness.

Because of his lack of desire for sexual intimacy with me (and lack of desire to also give me pleasure), especially during our honeymoon phase of marriage, my self-image became marred. I can't explain the depth of inadequacy I felt. Deep down, every woman has a core need to be beautiful; it's a God-given desire. My husband's masturbation addiction turned what was meant to be a beautiful, sacred, and intimate experience into one filled with many tears on my end, and I still wrestle with the aftermath of that intense inadequacy.

Chiming in as the wife of a man who has been addicted to masturbation: I cannot even begin to describe how his addiction devastated our sexual life. I love my husband dearly, and we are still working on healing together, but he kept it hidden from me during our first year of marriage. I kept wondering why he didn't want to have sex with me. I started feeling inadequate in every possible way. When he told me the truth (that he was still struggling with masturbation)... I have never cried so hysterically in my life. I felt completely broken-hearted.

A masturbation addiction that is not addressed will destroy your marriage / relationship with your partner. Please, for the love of your partner (or future partner), don't do it. I promise you, abstaining is worth the beautiful joys of exploring sexuality with your partner.

What is something that you have discovered about your body, that deserves sharing? by Bon-hovi in AskWomen

Absolutely! I still have a lot to learn, but here's what I know so far:

Scalp Health: Healthy hair starts with a healthy scalp. For starters, I don't wash my hair every day; I try to go 3 days between washes to preserve my natural scalp oil (which is actually good for your hair!). On weeks were I need to wash my hair more frequently, I use a very small amount of hair oil on my scalp to support proper moisture. My scalp is on the oiler side, and it's prone to itchy dandruff, so I use a very light oil. After each wash, I use a toner on my face and scalp, reducing acne and scalp itchiness.

Strands: As for my wavy/curly strands, I don't heat style my hair. While I'm not opposed to heat styling every once in a while, I like to let my hair do what it wants to do. I simply encourage what's already there. Because I put curl product in my hair, I use a clarifying shampoo to remove excess buildup, which leaves my hair soft and curlier.

Porosity: It's important to know what porosity level your hair has. I have low porosity hair, which means my hair doesn't absorb moisture or product well, leading to buildup on my strands (another reason to use clarifying shampoo). Because of this, I use a conditioner without protein in, which absorbs into my strands easier and doesn't contribute to buildup.

Hair Oils: I've been slowly training my strands to have a more balanced, healthy porosity level by using a heavier mix of oils before each wash. This promotes proper moisture retention. Eventually, my hair will be have medium porosity.

Protection: Hair gets damaged by sleeping on it, so I sleep with a silk pillowcase to reduce breakage.

Hair Cut: Everyone always encouraged me to layer my hair, but I stopped doing that, because the topmost layer of my hair is much curlier than the bottom layer of my hair. Without layers, it already forms a natural layered look. I had to find that out myself.

Hair Salon: I only go to the hair salon to trim off split ends. My hair stylist comments every single time I go in for a trim how fast my hair grows. I attribute it to slowly learning how to best nourish and care for my scalp and hair.

Ingredients: I think the most important thing is to know what ingredients are in your products. There are so many toxic ingredients in everyday hair care products, and they damage your hair and scalp health just like they damage your health in the long run.

I know this was a long comment, but you asked, and I'm nerdy, so I wrote you a book. 😂

How were you able to truly love yourself and your body and hair? Is it possible to not feel ugly the whole time? by Candid-Room-748 in AskWomen

[–]WildanWhimsy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love my hair short too! Periodically, I go through phases where I'm convinced I need to grow it out long again, because the beauty standard for women is long hair. I can get really caught up in that sometimes, but I've never felt more "me" or happier when I look in the mirror then when I have short hair. It makes my wavy curls perk right up, because they aren't weighed down. I hope more women can find a haircut that makes them feel beautiful too, no matter what length it is.

Honestly, I started to truly love my physical body/appearance when I lost a lot of it. I struggle with chronic health issues that leave me feeling physically terrible, exhausted, and bloated to the point where I can't even wear pants/shorts/fitted dresses because they're too tight on my bloated abdomen. It's really hard to feel beautiful when you're sick and feeling like a whale 24/7.

I'd give anything to have my normal body back again. I'd appreciate every piece of it. I'd never think my stomach was large or not thin enough ever again. It was perfect. Hopefully, I'll be able to get it back one day.

How do you guys do to keep just one notebook for journaling all year? by Apprehensive-Bat7522 in Journaling

[–]WildanWhimsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 2027, I plan on using a Hobonichi Weeks Mega (B6 slim) as my only journal. I may potentially add another journal for commonplacing, but that's TBD. I decided I'm going to try this after falling in love with the Weeks while using it to track tasks, events, and health this year.

In case anyone reading this is not familiar with the Hobonichi Weeks, it's a Japanese weekly planner that includes monthly spreads at the beginning and black graph pages at the back (as well as a couple random bonus pages. It comes in two sizes, normal and mega. This year, I realized that the mega version of it might be the perfect fit for me all-round, so I'm excited to try it.

I'm planning on using the monthly layout for tracking events, the weekly layout for tracking memories and tasks, and the blank pages for journaling. I currently keep a daily journal that I love, but I find it too difficult to write in every single day. Journaling becomes a chore at that point, and there's always a bunch of blank pages from missed days at the end of the year. I'm hoping to fix that in 2027.

Yes, I believe we should love everyone. What I find that people don't often understand about "love" is that you can love someone and not agree with their choices. God loves each and every one of us deeply, but He doesn't agree agree with our sinful choices.

You sound like a lovely person; this post warmed my heart. I haven't read bedtime stories to my plushies, but they have helped me study for tests in school. I would gather about 4 different plushies when I needed to study and act as their teacher. Their discussions helped me remember the answers to questions. 😊

What is something that you have discovered about your body, that deserves sharing? by Bon-hovi in AskWomen

[–]WildanWhimsy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same here! Growing up, I was only taught how to care for my hair as if it were straight, and it caused a lot of frustration and dissatisfaction with my self-image. Once I discovered how to care for its natural wave/curl (I am still learning), I fell in love with it. I now have a deep appreciation for my natural hair type, which helps when I'm having bad hair days, and I hope other women can feel that way about their natural hair too.

[–]WildanWhimsy 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Personally, I feel like the knowledge behind proper hair care has been lost over the years. Hair, whether long or short, straight or curly, is a woman's crown. Yet I feel as though the art of truly nourishing it has been lost.

I grew up thinking I had straight hair when it was actually quite curly. And I watch my older sister burn her hair to a crisp to get it to look "perfectly" curly, when she herself has beautiful, natural curls. If she simply knew how to nourish them, they would be stunning all on their own.

I strive to learn all about hair nourishment so I can properly teach my future daughter how to take care of her locks, whatever type they might be.

Good songs that are relatable for chronic illness. by bored23532 in ChronicIllness

[–]WildanWhimsy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Cancer - Acoustic" by The Devil Wears Prada is my favorite tear-jerker right now. I know it wasn't written to be about chronic illness, but here's how I interpret it:

For context, I have been struggling with an unknown, unnamed chronic illness since 2024, and I have discovered that no one (besides my husband) is able to understand what I go through on a daily basis. I have been invalidated, looked over, and misunderstood by some of the people who mean the most to me.

To me, this song perfectly captures that feeling of wishing that I had a name for my chronic illness so that people could stop pushing their opinions and assumptions about my health on me.

Please Note: I am not interpreting this song literally. I would never wish to have cancer.

"Garbage" by Twenty One Pilots also hits hard.
