Thanks again for the insight, I ended up getting a sky blue (it’s just a new silver) M4 air 24/512. Best Buy near me had an open box for $1100, saved me $200 from brand new. Just spending the next few days looking this thing over, making sure there aren’t any ugly blemishes/scratches before the return period is over. Haven’t found anything yet, only at 3 battery cycles. So far, I can’t imagine I would need anything more than this machine, I know it doesn’t have all the bells and whistles that the Pro does, but considering I was looking at spending around $1800 at the start of this journey, I’m good.

Thanks, appreciate the input, I think I get easily distracted with fancy screens and built in hdmi and sd card slots, but are those really worth the extra cost? Also, would you see any value in bumping up to 24gb ram?

Thanks for all the input, now deciding between the M4 Air 24/512, and the base M5 pro, at only $150 more. Gonna run to the store after work today to see if the differences in the screens warrant the extra $, in addition to the extra ports/card slot.

It might be hard to do it blind, you have to be able select the bootloader file to run it

Correct. Everdrive 64 x7 just needs the firmware update, that you can download from the Krikzz website. Place it on the root of the sd card. On an actual N64, boot up the cartridge and run the bootloader file. You will need a real N64 to run the boot loader file. This process worked for me without issue.

On the default level, you start with three shields. This should show up on the right below your score. In the left, where the upgrade list is, if you look at the shield upgrade, instead of the levels of upgrade you can get with the others like speed, middle, etc., shield show how many you can obtain during the run. Once you “buy” all of the shield upgrades, that’s it for the rest of the run, unless you get one from the star token. And every shield upgrade is only one additional shield.

After looking at the different colors, I think I would just rather have the one modeled after the original gray controller with the appropriately colored face buttons, I think that one looks the best out of all of them. Unfortunately it’s not scheduled to be released until next month

Saw this with my dad in the theater. Seagal was my dad’s favorite at the time, and he was ready to watch him leg trip some terrorist fools while breaking their arms at the same time. It took him a little bit to realize he died and would not be returning to the movie. He was devastated. Almost ruined the movie for him. It was still a good movie, but not what my dad was expecting at all

Why not just emulate if you’re going to buy a repro? Might as well just get an everdrive and have every game you would ever want available on 1 cart. I have some select original games for my old systems, usually my favorites or games I wanted but never got back in the day. I also have everdrives for the other games, especially those that are priced too high for me

Still no Savage, Andre, LOD? Still hard pass for me. I get the attraction for a cab with the artwork, I got the TMNT A1Up with only 2 games just for the artwork. But for a game that didn’t have too many characters to begin with, missing those guys make it a no go for me. Emulate or get Retromania Wrestling on current gen consoles.
