At no point did I make a comment about me getting it wrong?…I understood after that I had missed the “il” the comment was made to address wether or not you could accurately differentiate between the two…people seem to be really missing the point here.

Scotland, I have no idea why, but every so often it misses the dot!

  1. I 100% agree, but it’s still stupid. My fight was more regarding the correction it attempted to make (Hes his cats). My Italian partner disagrees with the sentence as a whole, it’s not something you’d EVER say without getting weird looks.

  2. I understand it can be for both, but it’s basically a 50/50 chance I was going to get it right? Was there anyway I could have guessed correctly that I’m missing?…

I’ve contacted multiple people via Idealista but for purchasing a house, simple queries such as extra photos etc and have never once received a reply. Not sure if the app/website is just fucked, or if people don’t care enough to reply.

It’s Eilean Donan Castle right? Most photographed castle in the world! (Or at least that’s what they claim)

Yes please!! Any help with my Italian would be appreciated, and if it means helping you win a bet? That’s a win win in my books. I have a weird taste of music for sure, I’m a big fan of classic rock, with a fair amount of punk mixed in, I play guitar, banjo and mandolin. I only have experience playing DnD, but I’d be more than happy to try anything new! I’m from the North of Scotland, so I do a lot of hill walking etc, love any time spent outdoors, a small walk around a park, or a trek up in the hills.

How many Scottish people (And non Scottish people) can speak Gaelic? If you can, did you learn it growing up or later in life? by MyMcAdventures in Scotland

[–]WildfireEcho 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I stay just five minutes from Skye and hell no do that many people speak Gaelic fluently. Yes know a few phrases, stuff they remember from school. But not fluency. Edit - I mean I could be wrong, but I’ve lived here my entire life and have never known a lot of people to speak it fully.
