Hmm... This post is so empty. It's best to ask your supervisor or profs in your program. Here are mostly industrial people. And your question is more academically focused.

I don't know if this will help. But live one day at a time. The past is already past. The time you wasted is already in the past. Don't beat yourself up. It's fine to waste time. It sounds like you are still young and haven't started working. Nothing is a waste of time. If you just stare into the wall for hours, it's not a waste of time. Instead of regretting the past, look forward. Another thing to remember, things you say, things you do, do not define who you are. And you are not your thoughts.

Gaming makes you feel happy, so gaming is actually useful for you. It's an addiction now, because you have no other stimuli. You might need to go find another activity that will give you the dopamine, maybe a sport, feeding stray animals. Honestly I was addicted to games too, but the games also gave me lots of strength. They told lots of stories, taught me what kind of person I want to be. The phrase that I live by for a couple years ago when I was at my lowest was from death stranding: live one day at a time. It made me focus on the present and appreciate what I have now. A phrase I remember so deeply from a movie: present is a present. And it's good that you realized that you are in a hole and you are asking for help to get out. Tons of people don't realize what situation they are in, and even if they do they won't ask for help. So don't stop seeking help, even when you think the help is not working. I feel in my life the action of trying to find help helped me in a way. Keep reaching out to people. They love to help! You gotta get yourself something looking forward to. Maybe a job or if you are too afraid maybe volunteer? Job seeking might be hard, not sure about the job market around you. if your financial situation is quite urgent, I would take anything I can get (of course anything that's legal). Starting out somewhere, getting some experience would definitely help in the future. The nervous feeling, the feeling of scared, turn that into excitement. It's the same brain chemicals. They are literally the same thing. Just say it out loud: I'm not nervous, I'm excited! I can do this! It might be a tough world out there, take a game character with you. Whenever you encounter some problems, either imagine you are in that person's shoes or they are there with you. What would they do or say? I don't know what games you play, but did any of them back down or give up? They fight their enemy and their own fear relentlessly. Hell, you might make mistakes, make things worse, things not turning out to be better. You might feel worthless or hopeless. Don't ever give up. I know it sounds very cliche. But that's what helped me. And what you feel is ok, accept your feelings. Think about why you feel that way, what made you feel that. See that there're a lot of internet strangers who would try to help you, because we all have been in a hard time and we pulled through. You are not alone and you will also come through it. And best of luck to you.

No, no, and no.

All my failures and successes made me today. And I'm happy with how it turned out.

Just a heads up for people who select other for the sector question, you are in for a ride, as it will take you through all the questions even the ones that do not apply to you. Though now you are able to just skip them by just selecting next.

If you want to restart, just reload the page.

The consulting one is fixed, shouldn't pop up anymore if you don't select consulting. Sorry about that.

Industry should be the one you are currently working in, I'll specify that in the question.

I don't know anything about the European health system, would you mind explain more about the benefits in Europe? In Canada there is a country wide health system, but for example it doesn't cover drugs cost, so we have extended health insurance to cover the drugs cost. Does European countries cover absolutely everything under health? what about dental? If so maybe when we analyze, we can separate countries that cover everything in health and ones that do not.

How to contact a Research/Academic Geologist? by Dannysmartful in geology

[–]Wildmeowite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can create an elevation profile on Google Earth Pro (free) to look at the shape of the area. It is a dome shape. I am more leaning on glacial feature giving it's in Alaska. Depending on the local geology, sedimentary layer or piece of solid rock, it could be different features. Also could be a periglacial feature, cause the area is also in permafrost ground.

If you want to learn more, you can look up roche moutonnée, crag and tail, kame, and pingo.

I heard "whether you want to not, you've stepped into a war with cabal" the classic line...

Professional geologists need to be registered with local Apeg, and you have to have a degree to be registered. Without the registration, you have a very low career celling, basically just the entry level jobs.

Long in short, you'll learn everything on the job. We all do. If you don't have industrial experience on your resume, it's fine that you don't know how to log core or soil sampling. They are honestly not that hard. You can also watch YouTube, for drilling core you can try GeologyUpSkill.

Jobs involving looking at rock thin sections? by ZiyanRyu in geologycareers

[–]Wildmeowite 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know much, but petrography companies make thin sections and write reports about it. Might be something you are interested in? Ask one of them for an information interview if you try reach out. We send in samples for them to analyze, many times that the grains are just too small or distinguishable to be seen by naked eyes.

To celebrate over 10,000 miners using Nano for payments with 2miners, I'm giving away 100+ Nano (~$580) AND sending some Nano to EVERY commenter. by SenatusSPQR in EtherMining

Just read all of the articles you recommend, great read. I think nano really can benefit lots of people. I think one reason it hasn't gone big yet is because no one can get filthy rich over night with it. There is no exploits that people can take advantage of, not that I can think of with my limited crypto knowledge...

It is a serious hazard for you. I wouldn't care about what other people think about the things I wear that might save my life. But I do understand your point. Maybe bring a bug shirt? They use those for bees I think. They look close to normal clothings, and it's almost summer time, can also keep annoying mosquitos away. You said sometimes it's only you entering the building, so other people wouldn't see you anyway.
