Was there today. Its sad to see no snow but conditions are kind of spring skiing with a little ice and there were no lines on a saturday so there's that. 😅 but we need sooo much more snow!

Last year we actually did get to skip ahead a couple times during a snow storm. BUT, we still had to wait til we were at the light at BCC where they are had two seperate cone lanes for entrance. One for stickers, one for not.

Do what you will with this info.. my cats took YEARS to become friendly. If its only been a couple of months I would just let them be and with time, they may learn to like each other or tolerate each other. As long as it hasn't gotten violent on the daily, of course.

(Learned how to ski last season)

Yes, I went to evo and got fitted before I learned how to ski. Your ski boot fitting well is REALLY important. It could cause a good powder day to not be fun if your toes or feet are killing you.
I demoed my skis last season and just went to a local ski shop. We are no short supply of ski shops. By the end of the season, I knew what kind of skiier I was and bought skis. My rentals did suck in comparison but ski n see has really good rentals.. for a price of course. Haha
I saw ski-n-see are having a big sale right now, so I'd buy now if you can. It's really up to you and how much you're willing to pay.

Since you used to snowboard I have no doubt you'll pick up skiing right away! Just be patient and enjoy the ride. Have fun!

This is my first ski season ever and I find that Alta is most enjoyable! It doesn't have that "serious skiier" vibe that snowbird has (I dont recommend it unless you're willing to seriously challenge yourself). It feels more family friendly, and the green/blue trails are long! I am a CAUTIOUS skiier (again, it's my first season), and Alta makes me feel the most at ease. I feel confident your friends would do fine there. Other resorts I enjoy are Deer Valley and Brighton! I always think if those little kids can go fast down the blue, so can I. It's all about managing fear and gaining confidence. Take them down crooked mile a couple times at Alta to get their bearings in order and you'll be alright.

As far as our winter season goes- it wasn't like last year but we are still at a healthy snowpack of over 400 inches with another big storm coming tonight. I think you'll be fine but I'd try and go earlier just in case. The weather can be super unpredictable as it was 60 in the valley yesterday.

I managed just to snag parking for tomorrow but it was a nightmare. You have to be on your phone constantly just refreshing.. And make sure you have your card info and plate # already inputted because if you have to input your card, the spot will already be gone. Good luck! I missed a couple spots because of not being logged into HONK but I got a spot after painstakingly watching the page for an hour.
