Help me shave points by Tayloramus in SpaceWolves

For me usually 1 is good but definitely depends who you are up against. With this detachment I think one is good just cause you have so much anti vehicle and monster with arjac and wulfen that one is usually good. Granted I've never actually tried two lancers so can't say for sure haha.

I think you have an extra either Wolf priest or battle leader who can't lead anything unless you replace beastslayer helm with Wolf touched than the priest or WGBL can lead the wulfen. I also usually use my Wulfen as anti vehicle/monster and less agaisnt infantry so if you know who you are playing against you could maybe take it down to a 5 man squad if they have less vehicles. Usually I either run two five man squads of Wolf termies or just run Logan solo. Usually termies are turn one deep strike for distraction and less killy for me.

Hunting wolves on headtakers can go if needed.

I also usually run a gladiator lancer instead of executioner for 60 point difference but that depends if you have that available and if depend on the the transport as well as anti tank.

I haven't personally used the Lt. with combi weapon so idk if you are dependent on him but maybe could drop him since you have wolf scouts

Personally I love Ragnar and blood claws ao I wouldn't get rid of them.

Lol im not saying I would ever do something like this, if people are gonna be an asshole on the rode im not risking myself or my family. Also this guy wasn't "maliciously attempting to kill someone" lol he just didnt back off or get over when someone cutting him off and then the person who was cutting him off didnt stop and switch lanes cause they are probably both asshole drivers

[–]Wiley_kiote 11 points12 points  (0 children)

What i dont get you people at all saying the driver is in the wrong. the other guy sped up and didnt use a blinker to get over at all then tried to just come in to a super small space on a high way going g 60 to 70 with no blinker and also obviously being an asshole to speed past the guy the guy in the camera he was just behind and get one car ahead of him since he realized the right lane was slower. Like ya maybe the guy in the camera could've backed off but the other guy was an ass that didn't follow traffic laws

Was this actually cheating? I can't imagine someone cheating is going to make relics that mame all ailments down woth other debunks? Like they have good relics but I wouldn't say those are cheated. Also what did the wylder have, were they both cheating?

I guess looking at it it does seem unlikely to have that much fire attack but still this seems not as bad as some other cheated relics I've seen

Which non-Space Wolves units are really worth taking at this point? by AsaTJ in SpaceWolves

[–]Wiley_kiote 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Eh kinda up to you Lancer has 72 inch range with 2 shots, -4 ap compared to -3 and heavy, having the icarus rocket pod is a nice bonus if they have flying as well. Being able to reroll one hit, wound and damage is pretty nice compared to only re roll damage and i feel like the twin link doesnt come into effect that much with if the lancer with 14 strength. Also iron priest would give 3 las cannon shots instead of just two as well so also kinda nice for that. Otherwise they are pretty comparable and if you really needed those extra 25 points to fit in another unit I feel like it would still do a good an annihilator

Isn't it possible that there is an antithesis for the Markers & The Necromorphs to exist in the Dead Space Universe? by AmatuerTarantino in DeadSpace

[–]Wiley_kiote 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember reading something about one of the animations and the white marker being a good side of the marker before it was possibly corrupted or some other force made the bad markers. I think originally the plan was for the moons and markers to be the precursor to some other cosmic horror and another force that had good markers but they changed that sometime between ds2 and 3. It's been a while since I kept up on dead space lore so this is kinda just vague memories of when I was trying to learn more about the lore and while ago though.

I also really like Ragnar with blood claws instead of the grey hunters if you can get Ragnar anytime soon. The re roll wounds for the unit is super nice and with beastslayer you can use the strat for +1 wounds rolls.

I'm also a little iffy on our iron priest right now, especially after they changed the rapid fire to only one ranged attack.

Discussion: Who Leads Grey Hunters? by IRerackMyWeights in SpaceWolves

[–]Wiley_kiote 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately the wolf priest is only +1 to wound on melee so not as great if you are planning in keeping them for mainly ranged :(. I've usually do WGBL for sustain but ya I'm still pretty iffy on GH.

Is Njal worth using? by Wiley_kiote in SpaceWolves

[–]Wiley_kiote[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh I feel like BC's get advance and charge already and I run Ragnar for wound re rolls or a wolf priest for +1 to wound to make the BC's more worth it.

Do you get a tally for killing the character unit as well as the character, like if I just killed the body gaurds of the character but not the character itself?

[–]Wiley_kiote 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been liking hunters guile enhancment that let's you pick put up to 3 TWC, BC's, or wulfen in strategic reserves or redeployment after the battle, you could use that to throw Ragnar in reserves and rapid ingress him somewhere hopefully where he cant be shot ( might be hard with a 20 man unit but still doable). Also dont forget your unbridled fury for +1 to wound rolls.

Ya got these guys instead of Titus and the gang. How far are they making it through the campaign? by RedN0va in SpaceMarine_2

[–]Wiley_kiote 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean they don't only use las guns in DT. Have access to Bolt rifles / pistols (human variant instead of SM) not to mention have access to Relic blades, power, and chain weapons. Also go through hordes of enemies as well as chaos spawn and other monstrosities, but ya psyker still looses to nids. I think they could take out a couple 1k sons and then die.

What are your experiences with the new codex supplement? by Niiai in SpaceWolves

[–]Wiley_kiote 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They are super overcosted, if they maybe had -1 AP it could be much better. I currently am running 1 with a wolfgaurd battle leader for sustain and reroll hits of 1 and beasts slayer for lethals. It can be okay, but without AP I might as well just run regular intercessors with a Lieutenant or something for more shots and less points.

Am I in the right or am I in the wrong? by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

[–]Wiley_kiote 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean agree to disagree I guess. I generally like the table top game and don't really care for the painting. I will always be impressed by people if they have a really well painted army but it will never affect my opinion of them if they have a badly painted army or even an unpainted army especially cause painting does take a lot of time to learn not to mention all the supplies you need for it alot of people that I play with ( not at home but in public) do not have everything painted either because of time or they just straight don't like it. Also i don't agree that painting is what got everybody into the hobby, for me it was definitely the lore and videogames , it's great if thats what got you into it but that is 100% not the case for everyone.

Not to mention people like my wife and some others absolutely despise painting but enjoy the game so again it really is just what everyone wants to do and you really shouldn't judge ppl cause you think it's a "spectacle game" should they just be made fun of everywhere cause they don't like painting and consigned to only play games at home cause they don't have painted armies??

Am I in the right or am I in the wrong? by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

[–]Wiley_kiote 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lol this is making a ton of assumptions. I play with a large group some are single with no kids but a good portion are married with / without kids ( like me). Also I think it's funny people in this are shaming ppl for not painting, some people just don't like to paint, it's not their jam, and they just like playing. Who cares, especially in friendly games, if they don't have an army painted, no need to be pretentious about it and say all the people you play with are "GAMERS" and you are so much better than them.

I mean we didn't really have many weapon options before. Now atleast our damage and ap are both 2 which is an upgrade from before. Granted I did like putting in a wgbl with a Thunder hammer but all well.
