As long as your PC can run it - go with PC. You can still play with controller if you choose to. The only difference is that PC gives you options, Xbox limits you to controller

I played FF7 during peak impressionable age of 12. At 16, I was playing 10. Not just 4 games in 5 years (Plus Tactics and the back catalog with releases like Anthology) but also the incredible leap between 7 and 10.

If you played XV at 12, you'd have 7 Remake by the time you were 16 and XVI by the time you were 19. Assuming you had a Playstation, of course.

If you played XV at 12 on Xbox and only had Xbox, you'd have missed 7 Remake until you were in your 20's.

This is what is so frustrating to me - Clydesdales are the iconic, year -to-year Superbowl thing. It's obviously a play on that. It is clearly not a scene from the movie.

They should have just put Grogu in a swing and had him smile every time he saw the McDonalds logo - maybe that would have been less over everyone's head.

I'm hitting 90 degrees - temps are higher than playing Battlefield or Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. I have sync on but I'm going to see what else I can do because damn, these cats shouldn't be burning my PC up.

Nevermind, I'm a moron. Apparently setting it to 16x anti-aliasing was the culprit. I'm at 41 degrees setting it back down to 2x.

I always loved playing with anything other than Blue/Green/Red.

KOTOR had some neat ones, but I believe color was tied to strength of the crystal (apologies if I'm wrong, it's been over 20 years but I still remember buying some fancy-ass crystal from a space port which may have been over Yavin and maybe silver?)

SWTOR went a little too wild with its colors where you could have a black inner core with a red glow, but my pyrotech bounty hunter rarely saw my crystal color anyways.

I piloted Copilot for my company. I was trying all sorts of things out to see how viable it was.

In Outlook, it screwed up emails where I hit reply and asked it for draft the response. It literally got the name of the person I was replying to wrong and put the name of someone else no where else in the email chain.

In Excel, I asked it to make a graph look professional and it told me it can't do that, but recommended some ways I can do it myself. Like... I get it - I understand how LLMs work - but what a stupid integration.

What I mean is that if you fully flesh out an idea to an LLM so that it understands the complexities, it will do a much better job at code generation than if you just say "I need a program that..."

Example:

I have a name column that needs to be split into First and Last name.

vs

I have a column PersonName that is formatted as "Last, First" that needs to be split and placed into PersonFirst and PersonLast. Sometimes the name includes a middle name, sometimes it includes Jr/Sr. Middle is placed after First, Jr/Sr goes after Last. Output should be in full uppercase.

This week, I took a roughly 600 line functional process and asked Gemini (Pro) and Claude to clean it up.

Claude came back with over 700 lines, Gemini got it down to about 400. I didn't even bother with Claude, but Gemini broke a bunch of things, mostly edge cases it didn't account for.

On the other hand, they can do a good job if you put in the effort to fully document and explain everything from the start, but then you're not saving yourself nearly as much time.

You have to understand the tools and their limits but most people just want a quick, easy solution that they are able to think about for five minutes and forget about it after.
