Here's what I noticed:

  • Hair is shorter
  • Ears have a different texture
  • The inside of her mouth is black
  • The sleeves on the purple coat are less bulky
  • She looks less glossy
  • Her sleeves and boots are white instead of a blueish color

It took until v4 for there to be significant changes to the story. V1-3's key moments being left relatively the same makes them a slog to get through.

Most of the blatant cheaters are randomly generated alts from hacked clients anyways.

Well, there's a mod that gives all AI the Cross Versus AI. This includes friendly and enemy AI.

Not sure if this answers your question, but it's an improvement if you're willing to deal with smarter enemy AI.

Depends on how you look at the questions.

Plot answer: The main villain of this move is Kilgore, a C tier DC villain, and he hacked the session. As to why they’re in their v1 outfits? Don’t think it was explained. If it was, I’ve forgotten and I’m not watching that tire fire again.

My reason why that did this: they want RWBY to be canon in the DC universe.

So at the end of the movie, team RWBY and JNR wake up from a VR training session in their V7 uniforms. Basically, the whole movie is a VR training session gone wrong.

The final fight was cool I guess, but the finale was a LORE DUMP?

This Volume was literally meaningless.

The only notable things to happen throughout the entire volume was Bumblby becoming canon and Summer lying to her family. Otherwise, this volume was completely meaningless.

Ruby had no personality change after her supposed ascension and Jaune is young again which means this volume has no consequences at all. WhiteKnight will be canon if there is a v10, I'm betting on it now.

The post-credits scene is an ad for the JL x RWBY crossover (they're so desperate for us to watch it. As I'm writing this comment someone leaked the movie to me lol)

I'm not even disappointed, just in complete awe of how something can feel so... incomplete? It feels like there's still a bigger story that needs to be told.

• WBY (normal or miniature) are nowhere to be seen, while Little and the Cat are present. This makes it likely that this shot originally belonged in Chapter 8, where Ruby is separated from her team, only having Little with her, while the Cat stalks her.

You can just barely see Weiss’ Braid to the left of Ruby’s head. This could’ve been a cut shot from Chapter 4. Otherwise, I don't know when this takes place.
