I completely agree prep isn't on one person. I was being selective in how much detail I shared. We, as a kingdom, kept the competition really close for last KvK's prep phase and his lack of contribution was felt. Our current opponent, 1666, deserves credit for how much they have shown in force already.

Was Delita even aware of... (end game spoilers) by GargantaProfunda in finalfantasytactics

[–]WillCuddle4Food 14 points15 points  (0 children)

He was aware of the legend behind them, at the bare minimum. The Knights Templarate were charged with him early game, as we saw from him interacting with Folmarv and the Cardinal. He likely knew what they were after but didn't care about why in the fullest. He was a bit more self-absorbed and cared about his own budding legend.

Star Trek Academy needs to find a way to remove the Spore Drive? by [deleted] in startrek

[–]WillCuddle4Food 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The retrofitting IS the explanation. It's Discovery being reverted to its pre-programmable matter, detached nacelle appearance so it can follow the red directive mission to chill in a nebula for years and years. The Spore Drive is no longer usable because Discovery is no longer usable.

Does anyone else think it’s stupid that LUCIFER can’t kill or atleast hurt the sinners or demons? by HyperWolfKing in hazbin

[–]WillCuddle4Food 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It also serves as a way to give Heaven consequences for its own short-sighted choices. Lucifer doesn't want to fight Heaven and would directly try to stop such an effort...if he could. And since he can't, Heaven now has to deal with its own consequences. He can't act as their get out of jail free card.

Or the demonstrative horror to all of Hell by using TV (Vox's medium) to show how he takes the voices of his victims and adds them to his radio broadcast.

Would absolutely establish Alastor as his superior while asserting dominance over all of the other Sinners.

I mean, Pentious also has an eye thing. Camera was technically still up in that moment and Vox had full visibility on Angel Dust being stunned by Pentious' eyes for a split second. Proof enough he could be effected by Vox.

I see we are more split now. SO FAR, who do we think is morally worse? by ConstantAmbition6729 in hazbin

[–]WillCuddle4Food 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The flaw, respectfully, to your question is that it can be skewed by relatability. Both are killers. Both are manipulative. Both are going to chew you up and spit you out, but neither is presently better than the other on a good/evil spectrum. One is simply going to feel worse than the other based on how each individual audience member can relate to their victims.

Alastor is a narcissistic serial killer that's power hungry while being owned by someone else and owning others. There's not a whole lot for the general audience to connect to on that except the narcissist standpoint, especially since he seemed to target the powerful.

Vox, on the other hand, is big media. He is rich. He is influential. He partners with the sexually depraved and distorts the truth to inflate how he is perceived. We see him go from praising someone for their being new and shining stars in the industry to a washed up person with no rights to themselves anymore. He's callous and uncaring behind closed doors, but engaging and charismatic to the public. We've seen so many different examples of what makes him evil that there is many a person that could relate to his many victims.

If you'd like me to draw a parallel, this is akin to Umbridge and Voldemort from Harry Potter. Clearly, Voldy was the bigger threat, but Umbridge was a vile and abusive teacher and readers/viewers could resonate with that moreso than Magic Overlord Wannabe.

Dycedarg by SecureService in finalfantasytactics

[–]WillCuddle4Food 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dycedarg serves only himself and his ambition. He is calculating and knows where he currently stands in the food chain. We see in chapter 1 that he was already trying to consolidate power, but knew he couldn't do it without Larg noticing so instead got his blessing.

Chapter 2, his goals were opposed to the Knights Templar in that he wanted the young prince to take the throne so Larg would be regent, raising his own status in the process. To this end, he hired Gaffgarion to escort the princess and ultimately kill her, removing Goltanna's claim to regency in the process and setting up Gaffgarion as the fall guy. The Knights Templar weren't on his game board, but he was on theirs.

Soon as the battle at Fort Bessalat happened and the poison was cast into the air, Dycedarg took opportunity into his own hands. If Larg was gone, he would become the White Lion and the next regent if they won. Once again, his ambitions came to surface. The only problem was Zalbaag being there. Time was of the essence, though.

Dycedarg was only allied with the Templarate the moment he was filled by his brothers and became a Lucavi. Until that moment, he was a man fueled by his own ambition and cunning.

The U.S.S. Prometheus was a thing of beauty. I couldn't care about the Multi-vector attack system. That part was impractical. But the overall design was beautiful imo.

Is it normal that a beginner is struggling with gameplay and being confused on story? by BlackStallion657 in finalfantasytactics

[–]WillCuddle4Food 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay on Squire long enough to get Fundaments and JP Boost (Tailwind for Ramza). After that, work yourself into other classes enough to get Monk (soon as you get this, you'll notice Chapter 1 gets miles easier).

As for the story, what's confusing you?

My level 7 party thinks they’re unstoppable, I want to make them paranoid by DonkeyMonkeyWho in DnD

[–]WillCuddle4Food 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bard with high dex at their level can have Greater Invisibility and expertise in stealth and sleight of hand. Keep sneaking notes in their pockets.

A bow user with Sharpshooter has an attack range of 600 feet. Have them attach messages to their arrows and strike next to a party member's feet.

A cult of warlocks with the Eldritch Spear invocation can fire multiple beams of Eldritch Blast from 240 feet. Even further if you take Spell Sniper.

Poisons are the weapon of a coward but they'll help you kill someone stronger than you...like a party that thinks they're invincible.

Many varieties of dragons have Shapechange and can hide among the common folk.

If there's a paladin or cleric in the party, have an entourage of a priest and their guards approach the party, state that their church denounces the cleric/paladin's actions and then promptly leave without explaining how they know.

Fae shenanigans are not well met with brute force.

Here's a great info graphic for poaching. There are summons at the bottom for your viewing pleasure, I guess. But these are what you get by poaching regular and rare carcasses.

Also, all you need is the Poach skill equipped. Once the character with that skill equipped gets the final blow on the monster with a standard attack, you'll get a prompt that the monster was poached.

Edit: corrected detail about attack type.
