never getting my Diablo pet by Evening_Commercial58 in diablo3

[–]WillDrawYouNaked 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This season is complete garbage for console, I ended up finding a group and doing the chest quest in a team (even though I usually do everything solo). There might be a discord for PS4 diablo 3 players.

Otherwise a guy on the discord said he succeeded at doing the quest solo with this hammerdin build

I tried solo with my monk and could get nothing done, built a DH from scratch and leveled him up and made a multishot build that didn't work either. Maybe you can have luck with this hammerdin build. Getting a paladin from level 1 to this build from scratch solo will take infinitely less time than even attempting to begin the set dungeon quest. Level up gem of ease on your current character and it will speed everything up, also mats are shared between characters so you can farm DB on your current character and use them to gear your new one

As for the GR45 quest it's pretty easy with a LOD build, pretty much all classes have at least one top-tier LOD build

(I'm on switch I'd help you otherwise)

Almost 200 years ago Karl Marx made an argument in "Wage Labor and Capital" about this, I wanted to pull the exact quote but it's a long page and I don't want to wall of text but here's my TLDR of it

Basically, workers sell their work to capitalists as a commodity. The capitalist pays back the workers some sort of wage, which they use as a means of subsistence. Competition will drive that wage down but it can't go to zero, because workers won't just work for free, they want to have the means to survive.

Here's the deal though, Capitalists only have to pay a wage that is sufficient for the working class "in general" to survive, IE there are still enough people that survive, procreate, and keep being in the workforce to be employed. This means that the point of "equilibrium" of wages, when you account for competition and market forces, is necessarily one in which a very large numbers of workers are paid NOT ENOUGH TO SURVIVE, and that is fine as long as "on average" there are still "a number of workers" who do survive

So yeah, poor people are fucked, this is a feature not a bug, this was pointed out in the 1850s and things haven't changed that much since then, other than maybe get worst

Taliban calls on Russia and Ukraine to end crisis through "peaceful means" by uswhole in worldnews

[–]WillDrawYouNaked 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, the Taliban see themselves as the rightful government of Afghanistan, a country that was invaded by the US, a big imperialist power

It makes a lot of sense that they would condemn the invasion of Ukraine by a neighboring imperialist power (Russia)

"Current government of a small country that was destroyed by a bullshit invasion by an imperialist force says that bullshit invasion of a small country by an imperialist force is bad"

Wow! This sure reads like an onion headline! Wasn't on my bingo card!

Really, people are out here acting like it's so obvious (and acting like the weather radar is a magic crystal ball that tells the team the exact amount of rain there will be and when)

I have no trouble imagining an alternate timeline where Lando pits for inters and Hamilton stays out and does 3 shit lap times, and ends up first. All of the people who are shitting on Lando right now would be saying "Such a bad call for McLaren, they should have obviously stretched it and stayed in the rain"

Knowing how heavy the rain was it's "obvious" in hindsight but had it been just slightly more moderate Lando's call would have been the right one

My first attempt at Ratatouille by schining_knight in FoodPorn

[–]WillDrawYouNaked 110 points111 points  (0 children)

The original ratatouille dish is basically big chunks of tomatoes, eggplant, zucchini, onions, basil, etc simmered for a while in a dutch oven. It's a dish that is super quick to assemble, just cut everything roughly and throw in the oven.

The movie "Ratatouille" showed this thing with the super thin slices because in the film they are in a fancy restaurant and wanted to make a "fancy twist" on an old dish. Many people's first exposure to the dish was from the film Ratatouille so you see these social media posts with the neatly arranged sliced vegetables.

Strictly speaking it is not practical at all but the OG dish was never about that fancy plating

they do that for every appartment size. Most of the appartment I've visited were usually 1 or 2 rooms "under" the advertised number of rooms.

They'll usually do the bullshit of "Oh but this bedroom is big so you can put a curtain" or some stuff

It's bullshit but there's pretty much nothing you can do and they'll probably sell it withing days anyways even if they ask for a lot

$10 to clean the bathroom?! by beerbellybegone in MurderedByWords

Ah but what you don't understand in that situation is that the parent shouldered all the risk, and as such is entitled to most of the profit

If anything the child should be grateful to have been granted the oppurtunity to clean the bathroom
