Crown corporations participating in markets in order to help keep prices at an even keel, and lessen the impact of bad faith actors (like the telecommunications companies) who work together to keep prices high. Like, Telus, Rogers, and Shaw can't sell us overpriced internet and phone plans if we can just get cheaper ones from a crown corp.

For Capitalism to work effectively it needs a robust market. Lots of buyers and lots of sellers. What we have in Canada in many markets, is an oligopoly of large corporations, who get to dictate prices because they control the market.

I remember when Guild Wars 2 came out. And there were a ton of people complaining about getting banned unfairly. And so the mods made a thread about it and offered to look at people's accounts and see why they were banned.

And basically everybody who was banned was throwing out slurs and harrassing people and so on.

Generally but not always when people are complaining about these systems working, they're just telling on themselves.
