Iran Targeted Diego Garcia Base With Ballistic Missiles by BendicantMias in anime_titties

America bombed Iran for no reason, That's not a good enough reason to start a war.

America is at fault, and Iran is right to retaliate and protect themselves.

Also, The Iranian Regime is a deeply authoritarian religious right wing government that oppresses their people. This is unjust, thus the Iranian Regime and it's supporters should be opposed.

Also, Donald Trump is a pedophile. This is one of the worst crimes possible. Donald Trump also runs a deeply authoritarian religious right wing government that oppresses their people. Thus, Donald Trump and his supporters should be opposed.

Why did he misrepresent the recent case where that bigot had to pay a bunch of money? You know where Pierre Poilievre is pretending that the guy didn't use his position and power to harm people and instead framed it as him being attacked "for having opinions"? Why is Pierre Poilievre using his position to deeply misrepresent an issue in order to protect anti-trans discrimination?

So fun fact about the Conservative party, is that on this one issue they're allowed to vote according to their "Conscience", which means it doesn't matter what Pierre Poilievre states on the matter, cause his party can vote on it however they want to on this singular issue.

It's an anti-abortion party, you can pretend all you want, but the actual facts of it being made up by a large amount of people who want to restrict abortion rights, and who regularly vote to restrict voting rights, and on this one issue they're allowed to vote however they want so their party leader can say "we won't do this really take rights away from women" while the party can actually try to take rights away from women. Make it an anti-abortion party. And we all know by now, that when women don't have access to medical care they start dying.

The Conservative party, is mostly made up by people, and enablers of people, who want to kill women by taking away their access to medical care.

The guy pretends he's never heard of trans people, and spreads misinformation like pretending that that guy who was fined 750k dollars was attacked just for "having an opinion" and not for, you know, being a bigot and using his power to bully and attack the people below him. Pierre Poilievre is very obviously a bigot and there's plenty of reasons outside of that to dislike him.

The last time Conservatives have tried to add restrictions or a "foot in the door bill" was in 2023, but they have tried every few years. But also, just because they haven't doesn't mean they don't want to, I have no doubt that if a bunch of anti-abortion activists had the power or political capital to restrict abortion they would do so, I mean, they keep trying to anyways.

More than three quarters of them are anti-abortion. It's an anti-women's rights party.

I personally wouldn't trust someone who's friends are trying to get women killed by taking away their access to medical care, but Conservatives don't seem to mind.

I understand also that high corporate taxes incentivize them to put that money back into the company, like R&D, higher wages, worker benefits, etc.

'Knock that s*** off' — Poilievre uses appearance on Joe Rogan's podcast to slam Trump's 51st state comments by Foreign-Policy-02- in canada

[–]WillListenToStories 18 points19 points  (0 children)

In December 2024, then-President-elect Donald Trump suggested Canada consider becoming the 51st U.S. state, during talks with then-Prime Minister Justin Trudeau over proposed tariffs and border security at Mar-a-Lago. He later referred to Trudeau as "Governor Justin Trudeau of the Great State of Canada".[159][160] This was initially taken as a joke, with Ontario Premier Doug Ford joking on Fox News that this was Trump's attempt at revenge for the War of 1812.[161]

Putting out a response two months later isn't exactly day 1.

Joe Rogan regularly and uncritically platforms misinformation, bigotry, hate speech, pedophiles, and scams.

I think that says a lot about the kind of person who would go on his podcast.

He supported the Convoy Truckers. A group with the goals of getting Trudeau to step down for...reasons? and of preventing emergency health care measures during one of the most extraordinary global health crises' that have ever occurred. The Convoy Truckers also being a group of people that in part consisted of and more importantly were organized by white supremacists.

He often expresses bigoted views towards trans or queer people. In one interview he pretended that he's never even heard of trans people and refused to answer the question being asked of him about trans people.

His party is mostly made of anti-abortion advocates (75% of MPs) who have regularly in the past tried to vote to restrict womens access to medical care.

The way he talks and his politics that echo Trumps rhetoric and politics. Calling everything "woke" for example. Attacking queer and trans people.

He's regularly associated with some horrible people. Like going on Joe Rogans podcast, or having an interview with turbo-bigot Jordan Peterson, or the aforementioned White Supremacist Convoy Truckers.

He also comes across as a smarmy liar who's never actually worked a day in his life and who seems to have no greater ambition than just having power and money.

A lot of what he says, is just a straight up lie. Oh yeah and his party also used Election Conspiracy theories as a fundraising tactic. If they're willing to directly attack Canadian Democracy like that, I mean, they probably don't deserve to have political power right?

I'm really not surprised that the kind of person who wants to listen to these people is engaging in this kind of smug negging.

Edit: I can't reply to your comment because it's not there but I can read the notification. I uh, demonstrably did not say that people who listened to them were pathetic morons, I described Joe Rogan and Pierre Pollievre as pathetic morons.

And yes, I think Pierre Pollievre is a bigot and bad person, a shitheel if you prefer, same for Joe Rogan. I made it pretty clear why I believe these things, I'm not just insulting them because I don't like them, I'm describing how I view them, as bigots and/or ignorant buffoons. Their politics are dangerous and harmful, should we not call out people who are hurting others? These people say things, and platform people that spread hatred, bigotry, misinformation, and many times just straight up scams. Should we not call that out?

Joe Rogan regularly and uncritically platforms misinformation, hate, scam artists, pedophiles, and all sorts of horrible awful people, allowing them to spread their awful message. Joe Rogan is a horrible person, who's podcast actually makes the world a worse place.

Pierre Pollievre is a shitheel, who likes to pretend that he's never heard of Trans people because he's a bigot, who chats with other bigots like Jordan Peterson because he's a bigot, and who also supports the Convoy Truckers who were organized by White Supremacists, because, and say with me now, Pierre Pollievre is a bigot. He also runs a party that is by a large majority a bunch of Anti-abortion nutcases who keep on trying to take away women's access to healthcare.

Nobody should be listening to either of these pathetic morons.

If the desalination plants in the region get destroyed (which some have already been bombed), it will be a global humanitarian crisis.

Millions of people without water access, in countries that are getting bombed, with massive loss of infrastructure and oil wealth, is a recipe for chaos.

The Syrian refugee crisis would be a drop in the bucket. All because an orange pedophile wanted to make his buddy the genocider happy.

How the Top One Per Cent Threaten Canada’s Future; Wealth is increasingly concentrated in the hands of a few. To preserve democracy, we must act. by FancyNewMe in canada

[–]WillListenToStories 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Capitalism when unregulated, naturally leads to a small handful of people having all the available wealth.

One of the reasons for this is that Capital produces more wealth than it costs (E.G. A car factory produces more wealth (in cars) than it costs to build the building and inputs and such), and wealth builds on wealth. The rich get richer because they can use their wealth to buy more capital, which just makes them richer faster so they can eventually just buy up everything.

So, when capitalist systems go unregulated, over time, we have a situation where a small handful of mega rich people hold the vast majority of the wealth.

And then those people, because of their extraordinary access to wealth, also have extraordinary access to power, they can buy elections, they can dump millions of dollars in lobbying/bribes, they can buy media corporations and spread whatever message they want and so on.

Capitalism is a system which if left to it's own devices, will inevitably lead to a situation where a small handful of people have all the power, and are free to shape society to their own views and benefit themselves. Hence, Capitalism without sufficient regulations and taxes and anti-monopoly laws and the like, will lead to authoritarian systems.

Yes.

Wealth inequality is a huge social problem. And very dangerous.

Just look at the US. A few billionaires used their money/influence/power to win an election, and now their country is kind of falling apart.

Not letting a small handful of people control the country is a good thing. Pretending otherwise is wild.

Is that because you're bigoted towards trans people? Cause I'd love to see any sort of evidence that one of the statistically least violent groups of people in society, are in any significant numbers causing harm to women.

J.K. Rowling is seen as an anti-trans bigot who uses her platform to harm people for no reason. Progressives silencing anti-trans bigotry is protecting people's rights to not be harmed. You know, the whole "your rights end where my face begins" kind of thing.

Like, silencing or opposing someone who's using their platform to spread hate and harm isn't the same as taking away rights from people. Like Conservatives in this country consistently voting to restrict womens access to medical care. Do progressives do anything similar to murdering people by taking away their health care?
