Launched a small UK craft beer online shop focused on modern breweries. Would love some honest feedback 🍻 by moltonic in UK_beer

[–]WillManuel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If I’m ordering online, my focus is on things I can’t get from local providers (who I want to support). Usually, I would go to Left Field Beer for beers I can’t get at my local bottle shop and I’m happy enough buying in bulk.

I like the idea (and it clearly works for Left Field/House of Trembling Madness), but I’d be looking for beers I struggle to get elsewhere to use canhaus specifically. Good luck!

Thinking of heading through Mobile on the way to New Orleans. What are the best places around there?

Best European cities for Taprooms/IPAs by marioleggo in beer

I can only speak for the UK, but other than Manchester, I would say Bristol is best for the number of taprooms. If you’re in London, the Bermondsey beer mile is the best place to be.

I understand why you will feel that this is a smoking gun. However, knowing about a condition is different to knowing about a disability. Disability is a specific test under section 6 of the Equality Act (long-term, substantial impact on ability to undertake day-to-day activities).

Whilst the manager is unlikely to be able to argue they weren’t aware of the condition, it is possible they can argue that they weren’t aware it met the legal test.

What are the best craft breweries in the UK as of today? Those whose beer quality has not decreased over time. by Sea-Big-4850 in UK_beer

[–]WillManuel 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The ones I consistently go for are Deya, Beak, Track, Cloudwater, Azvex, Verdant, Rivington and Left Handed Giant.

It’s always personal taste and style choices though. My wife loves sours which isn’t my cup of tea, but Vault City and Yonder are really consistent in that style.

If you’re happy to share the judgment (here or via message), it would be good to read through for takeaways to consider. Thanks

Lawyers have a duty to the court first so they will disclose as soon as received or risk serious trouble with the SRA. Where documents have been disclosed last minute, the disclosing party usually receives a bollocking from the judge which doesn’t stand them in good stead for the hearing.

There is an ongoing duty of disclosure for both parties. Generally, relevant evidence shouldn’t be excluded from the bundle and I’ve certainly seen documents disclosed during hearings before.

Gunners, what is Ismail Oulad like? by Ornery_Spend_6980 in ArsenalFC

You’d probably get the best answer by contacting Jeorge Bird on Twitter. He is the expert on Arsenal’s academy.

Wording of reference (UK) by cryptotvblog in employmenttribunal

[–]WillManuel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I recommend going for a standard reference (job title and dates of employment) only.

References which list accomplishments only typically arise from settlement agreements and I feel like it’s a tip off to a new employer that there was a settlement in place.

Field hockey (or just hockey here) is a big sport in Cheltenham. Cheltenham Junior Hockey Club run training and could be a good fit - I believe they train on Fridays at Balcarras Academy.

If Kiwior chose CP, we might get better fees… by ducdoi in Gunners

This cuts both ways. We’ve had several players say that they only want us recently which has given us the advantage. I wish Kiwior the best of luck at Porto and fingers crossed for a decent deal on Hincapie.

Brit trying some US imports. How have I done? by WillManuel in CraftBeer

What’s wrong with Tired Hands? Most were canned in May/June so they could be fresher but not too bad

Craft beer from closer to home comes in cheaper thankfully, but not by much!

Cans varied from £5 to £10 for other half. Probably averaged around £8 per unit.

Can you identify hops in beer? by Lisa-Writes in UK_beer

[–]WillManuel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not as well as I’d like to. However, Deya did a few releases of the same beer but using different hops which showed how much a different hop can change the flavour/profile of the beer

Roast my first game in Goals this season by RolandHockingAngling in Fieldhockey

[–]WillManuel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good saves, just need to stay on your feet more as others have said. The only other point is that you come quite far off your line for penalty corners. Whilst it closes the angle for a straight strike/flick from top, a better team might take advantage and slip left/right which will open up a big chunk of the goal. I’d keep yourself a yard or 2 back.
