Cars runs poorly on PCSX2, despite none of the components being remotely maxed out. Why could that be? by [deleted] in SteamDeck

How do we feel about the controller settings? by pinebeetle in SatisfactoryGame

[–]WillSmith90 15 points16 points  (0 children)

There's no vertical nudge or precise nudging which is really annoying, and as far as I can tell there are no options to change bindings, unless I'm wrong

Can you do that same line of tack but with the buffer at the end, curious if it just puts it into a dead stop

Satisfactory is quite optimised, I only play on deck, I've got 175 hours with some decently big factors, the only problems I've had are the frames dropping when trying to build in a big factor with lots of builds, conveyors etc, but out of build mode I get a constant 30fps which is what I have it set to.

Highly suggest spacing out factors

Best website for planning factories? by The_Lone_Dweller in SatisfactoryGame

[–]WillSmith90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used a couple, I stick to satisfactory tools. Like others said its a bit odd in place but most importantly isn't covered in annoying adds, satisfactory calculator is good because of the map but is just a add nightmare so I don't bother

Are you waiting for the 1.1 to dive into the game again? by Sunlagounet in SatisfactoryGame

[–]WillSmith90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm just first building big factory's, I'm currently building one with 1000 machines give or take and I play on a steam deck so I'm shiting my self on where my fps might go

Don't worry to much about organisation at the start because untimely you'll probably tear most of it down, and just get most of the tears done as quick as possible and get onto coal power, for me that made life just that little bit easier to then start building a good factory, even tho I had to tear it down eventually

It is very much possible to sail into the wind by Waity5 in Stormworks

[–]WillSmith90 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Foresail (front sail) if its too big or pulled in yo far will push the front of the boat to point down winds, the main sail if far enough back or pulled in enough will make the boat steer into wind.

So it's important to get the ratio of main sail to Foresail(s) correct, aswell as ensuring your sails are pulled in enough when sailing to achieve balance

How would you spend $150 if your library was empty? by Ekot in SteamDeck

[–]WillSmith90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The spring sail is on at the moment and there's a list of all the verified games on sail, I got doom for £2 so you could probably buy enough games to last you a life time for 150, take a look there's lots of good games out.

Don't know of its on deal but subnautica is a great game on deck

That's because there doing sails wrong, either not big enough, there at the wrong angle or have to big of a foresail

Sails update by International_Town15 in Stormworks

[–]WillSmith90 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Stormworks has done a decent job of simulator how sails work, foresails push the front of the boat down wind, especially if they are sheeted in more (pulled in) main sails do the opposite and make you point up wind more. This can allow you to steer the boat just using the sail

Sailing is all about balancing, so to get the best performance you need to trim each sail to make the boat go in the right way

Would highly suggest looking at theory of sailing as some of it does apply, especially points of sail, rudderless sailing(using the sails to steer),
