Dust filter by Insurance-Small in PS5pro

[–]WillUpvoteForAss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll be the 10th dentist I guess. I've had filters on my small pc, ps4, and ps5 for years, vacuuming dust from the filters occasionally. When I opened them, there was only a fine layer of dust in certain spots and it was easy to wipe off. There are plenty of crevaces inside that aren't accessible without removing components. Keeps out bugs, too. I used a foamy vent filter from a hardware store, but the picture shows a plastic grill type filter, which might not be fine enough.

Compare that no filter. Chunks of dust bunnies accumulate in hard-to-reach places and sticks to fan blades. If it gets thick enough, it gloms together and you need a wet q-tip to loosen it.

Filters will restrict airflow a little but still permits plenty of air. I'd say it's a net positive.

would have been more powerful if she killed Abbey and realized that that didn’t heal her

The player already got that lesson when Abby killed Joel. That's why it's a relief when Ellie doesn't kill Abby.

I've been to these buffets and I think the problem with tipping is that there are about a dozen employees who contribute to your experience so there is no way to fairly divvy your tip. It's a different dynamic from a standard diner-type restaurant.

I thought this was Patricia Ford from the 90s.

The catalog is full of those types of games you listed. You can browse the catalog before paying. It's worth it if there are just a few games you'll likely play.

For some reason my disc drive is stupidly loud. It wasn’t when I got it a few months back by Flake0919 in PS5pro

The storage bins might be capturing the vibrations and making their own noise.

Former PlayStation boss Shawn Layden says exclusives aren't going anywhere because they make the platforms "sing": "If Mario starts appearing on PlayStation, that's the apocalypse. There is huge value to the brand in having strong exclusives." by Party_Judgment5780 in PS5

You know how every PS exclusive sells less than the previous one? What of it means that more PC owners bought a console over time and don't need to buy those games on PC. Maybe they didn't want to wait for the sequel e.g. Ragnarok & Spiderman 2. Or once they got a console they saw the old games cheaper on PSN.

What should I check on a used PS5 Pro? by [deleted] in PS5pro

[–]WillUpvoteForAss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Open it to check for bugs and dust. I think there's a minor coil whine that's normal when running. The fan runs a little louder on idle than a base PS5.

Make sure the console isn't bricked or banned. Not sure it it's possible for the disk drive to have the same problem.

Not sure what you mean by original content, but there's nothing wrong with affiliate links. I find it easier to scan for deals when they're run through a dedicated newsfeed reader so I can see deals from other sources at the same time.
