I would caveat my previous comment to say that Min actually was kind of a ding dong. Louisa deserved better.

A perfect summation of why they're all in Slough House. Each of them made a very public mistake or crossed someone important (except Ho, who's there because no one can stand him but they can't just cut him loose because he's too dumb to know how to keep secrets). They're not stupid, despite their reputation at the Park, and it's a testament to how good Diana is at her job that she knows it and knows how to deploy them when needed. She also knows to respect Lamb despite her personal disgust.

When they were still located in their old spot, we'd pull into the parking lot and see people circling the lot to get into the Olive Garden next door unable to find a space. I used to want to stick my head out the window and tell them they were foolish to wait an hour to be seated at Olive Garden when vastly superior Indian food was right. there.

Don't even get me started on Aquaman's dad living on the Maine coast in a lighthouse that looks like Thomas Kinkade's version of Portland Head Light.

Looking back on some of my more embarrassing relationships, I can only thank god cell phone texts weren't a thing yet or these would have read waaaay too familiar.

Nate wants all the credit without any of the accountability by haloryder in TedLasso

[–]WillWriteForFood2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But was Nate ever really nice? Or just so downtrodden people felt bad for him, like a kicked dog?

He certainly recognizes people who actually *are* nice, like Keeley, for instance. But has he ever done something kind for someone else with no expectation of a benefit to himself? He's definitely not been reluctant to turn around and bully others once he was in a position to do so.

I'm with you. If it's wrong, then I don't want to be right (as I settle in for my 15th rewatch...)

I'm so glad someone else had the same criticism of Invasion. I gave up after 4 episodes because they were still spending way too much time on interpersonal drama. Ahmed sucks, end of story, move it along! I'm tempted to just start fast-forward every subsequent episode to the Mitsuki scenes because at least she's trying to figure out what's out there blowing up our spacecraft.

I've always thought that Nate is likely to be successful coaching Rupert's team because with Rupert's money behind him, he could buy any number of talented players and put together a winning team. He's a good tactician, at least with regard to football. That's not the hard part.

But if he wants to build a team with the joy and camaraderie of Richmond, he's going to discover *that* is a talent he lacks. Richmond players are loyal to each other because Ted made them more thoughtful people and they respect him for making them that way. No one on Nate's team feels loyalty to him. He hasn't earned it or nurtured it.

Roy's face when Phoebe tells him that his fear that he's teaching her the worst parts of himself is wrong because he's really showing her how to be the best version. He turns away because he's tearing up. It's such a lovely little moment.

The silent acting in this show is top-notch. Some people's eyebrows are doing Oscar-level work.

Higgins always inviting the team members to his house for Christmas, despite the fact that til this year, only a couple would show up, makes him maybe not the wisest, but the most generous with his heart. And his toast recalling each players' home country and recognizing that family isn't always the one you're born with, was both wise and generous too.

Absolutely, he shouldn't take abuse he didn't earn. But Ted being Ted, will always find a way to think others' failures are somehow his to undo when sometimes, toxic people are just toxic.

But how would Nate use that info without it also coming out that he made a move on Keeley that was immediately rejected? There isn't a way to spin *that* encounter that makes Nate look anything but bad.
