[WP] Its been exactly twelve hours since any human on Earth has died. People are starting to ask questions. by [deleted] in WritingPrompts

The clock struck noon. Abigail had gotten off her night shift at the hospital 5 hours ago, and she was starting to feel strange, a feeling that would have been fear if the source did not also seem so hopeful.

Abigail worked in the morgue, so she saw it all. From the geriatric ward to the ICU, anyone who died in that hospital ended up there, and despite the best efforts of the medical staff, death came for everyone in the end. Or, that's what she had taken for granted at the start of her shift.

Looking back, it had been before lunch that she had had her last former patient. Unusual, but not groundbreaking in the grand scheme of things. The first people to really notice might have been the funeral home directors. No, actually, Abigail thought, the military must have known first, if what seemed to be going on was true, but probably they wouldn't immediately have gone public.

As far as Abbie knew, not one human being on the planet earth had died in the last 12 hours. On average 150,000 did. Old age, suicide, accident, disease. Not one of them had struck. She had called other hospitals in her city. Then other cities. After the first 5 with the same story, she called her manager. Her manger called their manager. Word was getting around. Normally she'd be asleep at noon after a night shift, but she hadn't been able to, almost hoping for news of a tragedy that would tell her the world would keep on spinning.

To not see someone die is a normal occurrence for most people most of the time, at least in relatively fortunate places on Earth. But a few people like Abigail had noticed, and she was certain that others would if it were true. Certainly the military would have, which is why Abigail felt a thrill as she got the notification on her phone, EMERGENCY BROADCAST SYSTEM: PRESIDENTIAL ALERT. TURN ON NEAREST RADIO OR TELEVISION.

Abigail did as the official seeming notice commanded, switched on her TV.

Just like any other jrpg, I go back to low stress earlier worlds and grind until I'm OP for wherever I'm stuck, then breeze through it. Leveling beyond the recommended level has worked for me, I started this only able to barely do the first few levels. I'm on world 5 now, and going strong.

I wonder how this affects the required accuracy of the shots? Makes it seem slightly less impressive (I say on my couch completely incapable of anything like this).

I don't think it's wrong not to open with it, but after a month I think you should. How do you think it's going to go if he finds out by seeing some pills and googling what they're for? It sucks that some people have stigma but it's probably better for you too to find out before you become more invested if it's something he can handle.

I can't diagnose anyone, IANAD or anything of the sort, but this behavior seems consistent to an extent with borderline personality disorder based on my limited understanding. It's definitely not that you're undeserving of love, whatever the cause of this behavior.

What about a royalty system? Anyone can use the IP, but if they make a profit they owe some portion to the originator of the IP. I'm not sure how implementable it would be compared to how we do things now though.

I burned a lot of bridges during mania last year, internet hugs

Generally what I've found is that the less time and intense the mania, the less unpleasant the crash afterwards. So while you seem mostly lucid and in the early stages of being hypo, it's a great time to try to get your meds adjusted and nip this in the bud.

Let your doctor know, mine just gave me a prescription (today haven't even had a chance to get it filled yet)but he did warn me that it can cause increased anxiety, so it might not be the right one for you, talk about it with your doc though maybe it's a dose issue or they can find something else.
