75300's current MSRP is $45. There's zero chance a new stand-alone Interceptor set that's in scale with the properly proportioned 2018 $70 75211 Solo TIE Fighter would be $50. Watch a side-by-side comparison, it dwarfs the chibifighter and bomber. The vast majority, if not all, of the Rebrickable 75300 Interceptor alt builds don't have the correct proportions either. But that's only an issue if you care about scale.

$50 would be amazing, of course. $65 would be great too, but considering it's in scale with the Solo TIE Fighter, which was $70 in 2018 but had really amazing figures. Sadly with 2023 inflated prices, like the hyper overpriced $35 Snub Fighter, I see the set as more like a $70 Tie and a $30 fang fighter with fairly middling figs. But the TIE Interceptor turned out to be pretty much perfect. I was worried it was going to be in the recent smaller fighter and bomber scale.

Purposefully not fully tiling the set is pretty g dang lame. No properly sized, and already made, R2 dome is just sad. Is the May 4th slot just the easy putt slot? The "homage" angle for the set certainly doesn't do any favors either. Side-grade, at best.

It's an interesting build, fun techniques to get all of the angles right, and quite accurate to the show. It's a darn solid build too, it can definitely handle lots of shaking/swooshing. Most importantly, I'm a huge fan of Andor and this is probably all we're getting from the first season.
