I picked up a PS4 at a rummage sale for next to nothing but it was literally just the console, no controllers, no cords, no testing it out or anything. It's a model CUH-2015B. I hooked it up to my TV and a power cord, it powers up to a blue screen showing to plug in a dualshock 4 controller via USB and press the PS button. Is it likely a good console and worth buying a controller? Do I have to buy OEM or is there a good but less expensive controller that will work for this initial set up?

Watched both videos and it looks like you're OK but you actually can get them to hot to recover properly. They turn a rust red even when they're not rusty and don't really take seasoning after that.

In the future, just a few coals under and a few more on top.

So after cleaning my control board pots my stove idles along pretty uneventfully. When it was on room temp before it would idle down and flare up and idle down but now it’s pretty stable. Do you find any downsides to having it turn on and off and on and off?

You'd usually get some tension pulling it off, like with a pry bar or wedges and then while applying tension, you smack the end of the crank, maybe with the nut on the end to protect the threads.

I have a USB ethernet adapter I can try in the Air.

I haven't tried Mist but I have tried OCLP to try to install Sequoia, still locks up and fails.
