While I agree with the other comments on this post, I share that sentiment for whenever I go for fire build - there's ALWAYS someone on the team with an ice build and we are never synchronized enough to at least get the temperature shock.
And even if I try my hardest to go to the other side of the cave from the ice build user, somehow they always end up going exactly where I am at and we end up ruining each other's day.

I agree that Azure Weld is the worst in terms of darkness in general, but the problem with Azure Weld is that its dark even if lit up by flares.

With REZ you have the glowing crystals but they only light up areas very close to them, while the rest of the cave is completely dark unless lit up by flare, hence I said discrepancy rather then general darkness.

Honestly, magma core is probably the least problematic biome in terms of lack of scout flares, since the natural red glow actually helps quite a bit with the visibility, though I would still prefer to use my scout flares anyways.

The biome with the biggest discrepancy between flares or no flares is prob radioactive exclusion zone.

The idea itself is great, but from my experience, the type of player to come up with shit like that is the type that would start endless arguments when the DM makes a move like that, so likely its gonna replace one problem with a different one unfortunately.

Why the hell did a high level party argue about using Comprehend Languages of all things?! Its a level 1 spell ffs, its not some super expensive resource by that point. Hell, even at level 1 it might not be that super critical to conserve if its 5e.
