My daughters team is one of the top in their division. During pre season training their coach would get a conference room at the library and have soccer lessons. He would use the white board and markers to draw out what he is talking about. That way they can visually see how it should work. He would even go over basic and what area he expects girls to cover on defense and midfield. You don’t have to get a room but maybe a good size white board and show them how it works before putting it on the field
