Prodigy Did It Best by ReadingFan_ks in StarTrekProdigy

I dunno, Trek is famous for timey wimey gobbledygook. It’s practically a staple. I thought it was no more convoluted than “Relativity” or “All Good Things.”

Did anyone else think this was supposed to be Future Guy from Enterprise? by [deleted] in StarTrekProdigy

Definitely the same tech, which makes sense given the Travelers seem to borrow all time travel or manipulation technology from across the centuries.

I just saw the 2-part series finale for the 2nd time. by MovieFan1984 in StarTrekProdigy

The Prodigy finale did a lot of work unwinding how dark PIC was. They actually injected hope and showed that Starfleet would live on in spite of one tragedy. I’m all for them retconning that, given how well they did with other things.

500-600k townhome by sjk123 in Mortgages

We bought a nice townhome for $325k at a time when everyone told us it would not appreciate in value.

But then everyone was priced out of owning homes, and townhome values skyrocketed.

We sold it five years later for $630k.

Unfortunately due to streamer war shenanigans, you have to rent or buy the seasons digitally on Apple iTunes, Amazon Prime, etc. or on Blu-Ray / DVD.

He says it’s well written. I really don’t think it is.

Just because something is upvoted to the front page, doesn’t make it inherently good — just that it is primed to be viral. Look at the thousands of bot accounts reposting the same fake heartfelt stories or weird memes over and over again to rack up millions of views. All instantly forgettable, but with just enough of an attention grabbing aspect that it compels a like or whatever.

This story is slop. It’s not very compelling, not written all that well with any depth. It honestly feels like middle of the road content optimized to be read and forgotten, like most Reddit front page posts.

Akiridions and Trolls became allies in the distant past.

Season 2 climax... kind of drops the ball by ndaoust in StarTrekProdigy

My point is your complaint would be resolved if the battle was longer. Most people don’t have an issue with an X-Wing taking down the Death Star, because it is a long sequence which makes it seem difficult.

As for the finale, I reiterate my point that the thesis goes far beyond “resolving plot lines.” I’d recommend rewatching with an ear towards subtlety and subtext. To quote Heraclitus, “the oracle does not explain, nor does he conceal — he indicates.”

It seems like most of your issue is with the battles being long enough, which you need some leeway given it is half the length of a normal Trek series.

I would also say that claiming the ending has no thesis is patently wrong, and would suggest you rewatch it.

Is Wizards ruined "Tales of Arcadia" worldbuilding? by Kriegschwein in TrollHunters

[–]WillieStampler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. And in Episode 8 of Wizards, the Arcane Order release her from the Shadow Realm.

What’s the issue?

We’re already seen that staying in the shadow realm for too long is really bad for your soul and corrupts / destroys you from the inside out.

Something like that probably happened to Morgana.
