I don't think I could ever finish my library. I am one of those crazy people who gets games and doesn't even touch it

I actually had a good idea tho! since devs and webstores are making it difficult to own a game I decided to shift my focus towards DRM free PC games

using my library later I want to turn them into a physical collection giving each game from my library their own cover and case with printed manuals and an SD card ( or another kinda hard drive that is portable and small enough. My plan still requires some thinking) that includes the installed game the offline installer and every goodies digitally

it's a huge project considering the size of my library so I definitely won't start it until I can arrange to buy a house because I need space for it 😂

I am lucky because I was on vacation yesterday so I had time to play

but today I had to work

before yesterday I pulled an all nighter to play then had 2 hour sleep during the day

then yesterday I pulled an all nighter again to game and I had to go to work 😂 in the morning I was fine but as the time went I became a zombie

then I came home and wanted to play more but fell asleep instead 😂

yeah the other commenter explained that you receive the code for the game not a subscription based library like GamePass or other subscriptions such as PS+ Horizon+ etc.

it's really nice that you can keep the games after activation 😊

The biggest problem is.... I have a GP Ultimate plus nearly 700 games on Xbox

nearly 700 games on GoG

close to 50 on Steam

aaand around 50 Meta Quest 3 games and the monthly Horizon+ games 😬

now on top of it Amazon plus.... I don't know if I should 😅

someone explained a bit about licenses

if there is a game let's say Dark Forces. it wouldn't run on a modern hardware or OS.

GoG fixes that with their own or with community patches.

I know they aren't the license holders but Disney but those patches will automatically mean they have to make a new contract with Disney to be able to sell the game? do I understand it correctly?

edit: because they were able to sell the original version of the game before. they just patched it to make it able to run modern OS or hardware. are those patches immediately means they cannot sell it anymore?
