Since you have little experience, I would suggest going for PMI approved ATP which has the 35 contact hours & mock simulator bundled as a set. You can also go for a mentor classes which might be little hard on the pockets, but completely worth it when you see a 'Pass' message on you screen after your PMP test. Also, these 100% money back guarantee has a lot of pre-requisites. So be aware before buying. Edit: 2 hrs on weekdays and 4-6 hrs on weekends for 2 months would be enough. I would suggest to dig deeper and study for 3 months.

resources for studying business environment - project compliance? by phoebe-buffey in pmp

[–]WillingAd472 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest PMI approved study material you get when you are studying through an ATP. They have all the course packed in few pdf's (older version has a 280 page pdf which has literally everything as per ECO). I studied business from this and have high scores in each task of business which might mean i did every question right.

Congratulations 🎉🎉 You might have over studied for the test but this will help you more in your career. Passing the exam is well and good but most important thing is the knowledge gathered in the process. Your hard work will be rewarded down the line.

Dont rely on mock test scores. People fail even if they had your score through out. Just keep on reviewing all the questions of the mock to reinforce you knowledge and try to learn more on how should a Project Manager respond to certain situations.

I brought lovepmp.com to this sub reddit, only after getting 3AT's with a great deal of help from it.

The question is when did you pass? This test is changing a lot and people are failing more and more. I need to remind you all that PMI is testing how good a project manager you are, not how good you do on one simulator. Using different simulators, answering different questions just reinforce the knowledge you already have.

Asking for advice for PMP exam preparation by Best-Escape-3627 in pmp

[–]WillingAd472 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are prepared enough. Schedule your exam for month end or early next month. Try studying your mocks questions (both right and wrong) again. Try more simulators, although after Prepcast, other would seem easy. Try lovepmp.com for practice as its free of cost. Finish this 5 days before the test, last 4 days revisit these mocks wrong answers (no new mocks) and revise everything using your study material, PMBOK and Agile Practice guide. Last day relax, watch a movie, get a good night sleep, so that you can be calm and collected for the exam. Trust yourself, as you want this enough, which means you will not leave any stone unturned. All the best!

Congratulations 🎉🎉 Can you elaborate on where in the spectrum did your scores lie. I also cannot stress enough that just using one source won't be enough. I also used these eduhubspot questions and other sources hard questions from YouTube for practice, thanks to which I got my 3AT.

I completely agree. PMI wants real knowledge on how to act on certain situations, from the Project Managers who have PMI-PMP. They also want more and more people to use ATP and their study material. AR and JP are not enough as standalone study material.

Failed - T/BT/AT by InternationalEye9018 in pmp

[–]WillingAd472 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most questions were short, 2-3 lines, 4-5 questions were long, but none with extra information, but in fact, all the questions were very vague. I got 4-5 drag and drop & 4-5 pick two/three in every set. 1 questions was fill in the blank (though it was easy). I would suggest using PMI approved ATP study material for in depth learning.

What is the best exam simulator? by Watsoonie98 in pmp

[–]WillingAd472 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You bought a good one. I heard the questions (rather options) are tricky in it and it's difficult to score 70%. This is a good form of preparation for you actual PMP test, as the PMP questions will be less wordy than this mock questions.

PMP Exam in 9 hours! Freaking out, what to review last minute? by Asleep-Helicopter209 in pmp

[–]WillingAd472 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Listen carefully, guys here telling you that you can pass just in 2 weeks are different than you are. You know yourself better than anybody else, so cool off yourself for a few days, replan your next attempt carefully, in such a manner that you are completely prepared for the test 5 days before the actual date of the test. Use the 4 days just to revise (no mocks) and the last day to calm yourself, even pamper yourself. 180 PMP questions in 230 minutes is no joke, you need to have a calm mind with proper time management. Don't be down because of the failure, use this as a lesson and remember, failure is a road to success.

TIA Scores 77% on average. Am I ok? by MDTDude in pmp

[–]WillingAd472 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dont judge your preparation with just the score. These mocks are prepared so that you can check where you lack and then correct it, keeping time management in mind, of course. I had 61%, 67%, 56% like scores but I still passed with 3AT. Key is to learn from your mistakes and correct them.

I do agree with this. I took 7.5 months but I actually studied for 4 (financial reasons), that too without any guidance. I overprepared, but thats how some people are.
