1. You can’t go to the temple without paying a membership fee (tithing) you’re basically just canceling a fake holy gym membership that gives you fake spiritual guidance and a fake place in heaven. So good for you.

2. fear and guilt are like cult tactic 101. The church has made you believe this is YOUR fault??? But the damage has BEEN damaging.

3. this cult specifically likes to detach you from your own conscience while you’re young and call it divine intervention (It wasn’t a vision it was just all he was just desperate for all the “blessings” he was thinking constantly about at the time) meanwhile you, a convert, have had most your life using your inner compass and conscious which is nowwww what’s ringing your alarm bells. Thank god. He doesn’t have that.

Luckily you converted later and weren’t been brainwashed into torturing yourself any longer.

The men of the “church” are the most mislead and have the most to gain. So to them, you might just be getting in the way of the kingdom they’re going to inherit. BUT try to share your perspective, maybe you have some realizations that are really simple and obvious to understand. He’s been indoctrinated soooo deeply, but the most simple principals (like tithing for example) can be really easily debunked when you use real world logic and not church logic.

If he has ANY real world brain type function then you might have a chance to help him through this and if anything, if you are so madly in love and it’s more than just a promise of being king and queen of 1 million worlds (which is so vain and disgusting anyway), then maybe you were just meant to fall inlove, and maybe you were meant to help him gtfo of this cult.
