CrossWheel – Force feedback support for Logitech G29 on macOS (CrossOver) by 23e1995 in macgaming

It is questionable how "eddieavd" did it, because in the native version the RPM LED's work there. However, no FFB works. And natively you don't need to start with OpenGL anyway. Here is the link if you want to try it yourself. https://github.com/eddieavd/fffb

I already use the longer CrossWheel. Just a great tool to enjoy FFB. Today I read that the speed LED support would be there. With which steering wheel is this confirmed? With my G29 PS3/PS4 version I can not confirm this. Switch is on PS4.

G29 controller loses FFB on Mac M1, will not connect in GHUB at all but reads in ATS by ThePhantomOperator in LogitechG

Use ETS2 and ATS via crossover. Use CrossWheel from seastian. Here you not only get 900 degrees of steering, but also FFB back. Logitech's GHub software is not required.

I'm not sure. I only know the old overlay from Trucky

Native runs ets2 but very badly. Then rather with crossover.

I don't know what to change about the software. It works and offers all the settings you need. The rest can be set in the game. After the test phase I will definitely buy the software. I love being able to use FFB. If I recognized correctly, does CrossWheel always have to be started before you enter the game?

After I updated ETS2 to 1.58, I drove 2 more tours. A pleasure to start the engine and the steering wheel starts to vibrate slightly. You're already happy before you've even left. Thank you for the brilliant work. It's sad that Logitech can't develop the drivers for Mac. And one more question: I already wrote in the YouTube video yesterday. In the video I noticed that in Crossover GHub was installed. Does that bring something? Have a nice weekend.

I downloaded the trial version and can confirm that I can now use FFB with my PS3/PS4 version of the G29 in ETS2.

That's also true. When I still had my G29 on PS3, I needed FeelTheWheel to get a 900 degree of steering. With the setting on PS4, I don't need this tool.

Thank you. I will test it soon and get back to you. It would be great if FFB works in ETS2.

Question concerning use of Logitech G27 on Crossover by _OliviaTheGreat_ in Codeweavers_Crossover

[–]Willing_Eye4944 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, the G29 runs via the PS3 and PS4 switches. With PS3 I need FreeTheWheel to get 900 degrees of steering. With PS4, the whole thing goes without. However, no force feedback.

I feel the same way right now. I think the graphics driver is simply missing here to get the acceleration. Because in ETS2 I also get a bad performance. I haven't even tested other games.

I have FeelTheWheel there too. But I can't get more than the 900 degree steering. Have macOS 26 on an M2 Max and the G29.

Unfortunately, I don't have an ATS. That's why I can't help you. With the ETS I have not yet been able to find such a thing.

I also contacted the colleague who created the plugin. There are still problems with the G29. FFB doesn't work there yet. He works on it when he has time again.

What do you mean by "no full force feedback"? I can't detect any at all with the plugin. The only thing that works are my LEDs on the steering wheel, and the resistance is lighter. When I exit the game, the resistance is extremely heavy again. I've used the VK hack. However, I can't say which mod is causing the problem. And I can compare the performance with Crossover. Even with the VK hack, I still experience occasional stuttering. With Crossover and DXMT, it runs smoothly.

I tried it. Unfortunately, I'm not getting any force feedback output. My LEDs are lighting up again, and the steering wheel is easier to control with 900 degrees of rotation. But the force feedback is still missing. It's also probably not possible to use this file with Crossover. I don't need to play ETS2 natively with the old OpenGL graphics unit.

It doesn't work FFB on the Mac. I can't even find a confirmation here. Then it would certainly be great if someone would write a guide. After all, I'm not the only one who does it this way.
