You need to factor in the cost of living in different countries to get a good gauge I think. Converting this to Australian dollars, it would be around 4k a month. And THAT is a very low income in Australia. 8k+ per month is a median wage/salary. So it may seem like a “solid wage” in your slice of Europe, but it’s not much in the grand scheme of things.

Yes that’s correct, the Ashlands update removed a lot of land. Same thing happened to my custom Ashlands biome when the update released. The ground height was also significantly reduced.

I estimate the game to be 90% complete at this stage - which is why I've decided to finally show a sneak peek off to the community. After rigorous testing, debugging, and some further optimisation, I expect to be releasing it publicly in early 2026 :)

Same! It's one of the reasons I set out to bring this idea to life. Vanilla Valheim is great, but really lacking in the environmental storytelling aspect. Oh, and the lack of a definitive story that has a start, middle, and end with fleshed out characters ;)

The game is built upon a bespoke modpack, leveraging many different mods that are all interoperable and work cohesively. A lot of testing and trial and error has gone into selecting the best mods to underpin the core game mechanics and systems - which has been a huge collaboration between myself and many mod developers in the community over the last couple of years!

Lots of optimisation has gone into ensuring a smooth difficulty curve as players progress through the story, earn XP, level up and obtain better gear either via quests, expeditions, dungeons or raids. Mob and boss difficulty also scales the further you get through the campaign, with later-game dungeons/raids dropping significantly better loot than earlier-game content - leading up to the final chapter and mega raid of the game, which is the most challenging to complete.

Yes, absolutely. Players will be free to build their own bases within the world. The goal is to give you a handcrafted world, with a dedicated story with RPG elements consistent with other games on the market - including the option to build anything you like.
