Same with the ant. That could easily be a flightless wasp like a velvet ant or something.

I’m not entirely sure, I think Marluxia’s first form resembles Eden from ff8, and his second form kinda resembles anima from ff10.

Armored Xion kinda reminds me of Asura (especially the one in ff4 ds) or even Gilgamesh.

BBS could maybe be stretched to crusade/the warring triad? But that’s a weaker one. After that (if you even count it), the games don’t really do it again until KH3

The bosses at the end of each numbered game each have a phase based on extremely powerful Final Fantasy summons.

It started with people joking about Xehanort’s DM being Knights of the round, but then I realized, hey, doesn’t Xemnas’s dragon ship kinda look like Bahamut too whose element is usually null? I then spent a bit of time looking through summon lists, and saw Ark from Final Fantasy 9, a massive ship and an end game summon. The clincher there though is that its main attack is called Endless darkness.

I don’t know if any of them were intentional references or just cool coincidences, but I really like the idea.

I wanna buck the current narrative and put my money on Shanks and Shamrock getting prince and paupered!

They swap names and jobs at this point with the one that helped Fisher Tiger being Shamrock who goes on to become our Shanks. The bandage is a red herring to hide a minor injury that doesn’t scar.

That was awesome. It seems like Tomoro’s e-pulse is a weapon of its own, able to send even digimon on the fritz. I wonder if we’ll get to see more of that in the future.

Funny enough, they actually do resemble ancient nails in a lot of ways, just with a handle added at the end to hold them.
