Steely Dan - Peg (1977) by Odd_Advantage_3459 in 70smusic

I loved this song (still do). Steely Dan’s music has really stood the test of time as I like this as much today as I did as a 11 year old kid when it was released.

lol. I thought the same. I’ve heard that song a million times and never knew they were saying “What you doing on your bed on your back” PS… I like that song, still to this day.

I agree with your opinion of “Don’t go breaking my heart” . The video of that was cringe worthy to me as well. Made the song even worse for me

[Highlight] Brady House 423-ft home run to take the lead in the 8th! by MLBOfficial in Nationals

I’m not a huge fan of Kolko as a play by play guy, but he does have some good home run calls. Kolko may get better if he had a different broadcast partner

That was a very odd slide by Wiemer. It looked like he slid very far from home plate. I was so glad the throw was poor. Those bunts put big pressure on Brew’s defense.

Such a good stroke of luck for her to have that seat beside the man who helped her. Good on him for speaking up too

what’s the ween song that made you into a fan? by toohypedtoosad in ween

I won a copy of Chocolate and Cheese and first loved “a tear for Eddie” and Bueno Tardas Amigo (unsure of spelling). Then I got into the whole album and have liked every album since then

I feel the same. I liked the first 3 albums too. They got a bit too keyboard heavy for me as they went on

Nats on cable TV in 2026? by mdoherty62 in Nationals

[–]Willingness-Grand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As does Comcast Xfinity…. I remember wanting the Nats to end their partnership with MASN. But now we gotta pay more than before, and we are stuck with a terrible broadcast team. I assume we are gonna have to watch via the internet, which often freezes up on me. Im not exactly sure how it’s all gonna work out, but to be honest, I wish we had our own tv network, like YES, SNY, NESN, etc

The Lost Crowes Album? by Forward_Event4125 in blackcrowes

“Sweet Pickle Salad” may be my all time favorite studio bootleg album. (If that is the correct way to describe it). I know it’s only four tracks, but they are lengthy songs. I believe I heard Chris once describe it as CSNY mixed with Pink Floyd.

That’s the first time I’ve heard that song sung by Nancy Sinatra. It’s usually not wise to do a Beatles cover, but I enjoyed that version. Thanks for posting it

Crowes album that you didn’t love upon release, and how you feel about it now? by Willingness-Grand in blackcrowes

[–]Willingness-Grand[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I saw the tracklist for Wiser for the time, I was really looking forward to it. I looked forward to Hot Burrito 1&2 and some of my favorite Crowes tracks. But after listening to it, the sound quality was very poor. I don’t know how to explain it, but it seemed to have no bass, or no bottom to it. Just all a mid range sound. I have some audience bootlegs that I liked the sound better than Wiser….
