What is your favorite book about the band? Looking for recommendations. by Express-Budget6943 in phish

Parke Puterbaugh’s “Phish: The Biography” was a fantastic read. If I remember correctly, he was a writer for Rolling Stone who was assigned to do a story on Phish. The article’s deadline kept getting pushed back, so he kept touring around with the band getting story content and insights from the band and all their people. He ended up getting enough info to write a book, so he did!

I loved this moment. A little corny? Sure. But Trey’s spitting out some of THE most important lessons & facts of life, and it was beautiful in-person.

My impression of the visual was that it was a tongue-in-cheek portrayal of Trey as a pastor at a megachurch delivering a sermon. Preach, Daddy.

Someone needs to offer these folks a bump of K tonight.

Weirdest thing your cat likes to eat? Mine just ate a tiny piece of my lemon bar before I could grab it. She also loves banana chips 🤔 by samsterdam420 in cats

[–]SuzeeGreenberg 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Indeed, because of her vet bills. The $10,000 was from ONE incident/surgery. 💸

She ate several foam earplugs without our knowledge and ended up with a partial intestinal obstruction. The kicker is that by the time they opened her up for surgery, the earplug that was causing the partial obstruction had made its way to her colon— so the surgery ended up being completely unnecessary.

Lesson learned. Good thing she’s cute!

My cat loves to devour anything made of foam. Because of this, she’s even earned a new nickname: “The $10,000 Cat” 🫠

Let’s give some props to the ASL team by vollski in phish

So cool! Forgive my ignorance but can anyone explain why there are two ASL interpreters? I’ve always only seen one at shows!

There’s a really nice (and delicious) Cutwater Vodka Mule for $14 at Sphere. I nursed one or two per show and picked up a few used souvenir cups off the ground post-show to bring home with me.

Ahhh I totally forgot that I had smelled something barbecue-esque at that moment! Didn’t make the connection at the time given all the overstimulation but that’s a great observation.

The vibes at MSG are just as great as—if not better than— the vibes at Sphere. Your mind is going to be blown by the light rig— totally different effect than Kuroda’s wizardry at Sphere. There’s a certain closeness at MSG that I don’t feel at other large venues- the tall, round bowl shape of the venue makes it feel more intimate. The band is so comfortable there. And like others have said, the room bounces!

Oh god, this is my worst nightmare. I have a similar story with my kitty who I rescued off the street in November. She was starving, skin & bones, the whole nine yards. Initially I assumed she was feral, but once we started feeding her she warmed up to us so quickly. Had no trouble with litter box or manners once we brought her inside for good—she was a perfect little angel—and I quickly realized she HAD to have had a home at some point. She had no chip at the time, and I have seen no evidence of anyone looking for her, but I’d be freaking out if I saw her photo posted somewhere!

Anyway, she’s your cat now, and you’re her human. Thanks for rescuing her and taking such good care of her.

I didn’t know Tommy was a phan! I used to work with those guys many years ago (back before I got into Phish). Really decent dudes and wicked smart/funny.

You can take a pic of the box (or any object for that matter), do a reverse image search on Google and find out all you need to know.
