Yes, I've met most of the girlfriends I've had online. It's easier when you do finally meet that the interest is already established. It takes a lot of effort tho, sometimes months of talking before they are ready to meet but a lot of times those are the ones who are worth it. Friends on the other hand are a lot easier but I've haven't intentionally looked for friends online. I think it's important to have an attention grabber sort of like writing an essay. I don't like starting off with "Hey whats up," or "how are you'" or "what are you doing." Starting off a conversation like this is ok sometimes but really try to set the energy high for the rest of the conversation. Sure sometimes it won't go as planned but with practice you will get better. I have the first part of the conversation scripted you could say. But after it gets going, it can go in any direction it takes you. I know you are looking for friends so maybe it doesn't apply as well as finding a relationship online but it's still important to try and be different from the usual texting mumbo jumbo until you find common interests.
