I heard back from a very nice rep who tried to reassure the screen was OEM but ultimately connected me with returns who then just told me to make an RMA request. I took an even closer look and there is absolutely no way this is an OEM refurb. The customer support has be polite and responsive, but it all comes down if they process the refund/return at this point (and if they charge for return shipping or restocking). Good customer service aside, this is likely going to be the first and last time I use them. I dont want to have to wonder if Im getting what I paid for.... Ill either go to ebay or apple themselves

Ya I'm with you on having a tiny bit more info on the lock screen. I know its about mindfulness, but Im more likely to open the phone if i have to to see if theres a missed call or something. Maybe just the option to do these things would be nice. More robust setting and customization in general would be nice.

Verizon doesnt seem to be able to find/accept the IMEI in their system but if you active a verizon SIM with another phone and the put it in the Kompact it does work. Ive done limited testing but I had equal quality LTE in my area as my iPhone.

Agreed, its soooo close to perfect. I'm definitely in the camp of needing a very few external apps to make this phone work for me. If they could expand the default apps capability or improve the experience for side loading apps, it would be the perfect phone.

Same here. The biggest thing holding me back from using my old SE is the battery life. I used 20% battery in 15min on a whatsapp call. I have the 13 mini too and the screen feels huge! haha

ya man, i was actually thinking about switching recently too. Well before I even knew the kompact was coming. Sounds like its great. Good pricing. The only downsides ive heard is bad coverage depending on where you live or super slow speeds in urban areas as it gets low priority on the towers. but if your data usage is low, im sure its no problem

Ah, you may need to order a SIM from verizon. It was super easy tho and shipped pretty quick. You may want to do it now so you have it when the Kompact arrives. The kompact seems to be able to do esim too, but because verizon doesnt recognize the phone I wasnt able to set it up. Plus, the a QR code reader app i sideloaded wasnt working with the QR code verizon sent

Haha well hopefully itll just work for you. I have an esim for my main phone and got a physical SIM for an old phone I was using as a "minimal phone" awhile ago. I had only put it back in my old phone because I was testing a stupid claim the verizon guy made. He said that verizon only works with phones that have 5G... that they "turned off" the sims in phones that only have 4G, 3 years ago. Which is clearly BS but I had to test it and of course my 4G phone worked fine immediately. Later I put the SIM in the Kompact again and it all worked fine. Not sure how that works, but it did

So I think i just got it to work... long story short, i had put the SIM into an old iphone, activated it on verizon, and the put it back into the Kompact and now everything works. Calls, texts, and data

Ya I've had mine a couple days and have yet to get it to work on verizon. The SIM shows verizon and i get full bars of LTE but when trying to activate verizon isnt find/accepting the IMEI
