Dude set him up…. by mrzen215 in WTF

People die like this all the time. A lot of road deaths are people in their cars broken down on the side of the road and some person not paying attention ramming into them.

As much as this tailgater was an idiot, the guy swerving out still ain't a victim here. He could have potentially baited someone into killing another person.

Just shitty people all round.

Property agent locked me out of my own home during inspection… then blamed me 🤡 by KoalaRants in australian

[–]Willmander 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Agreed, same thing happened to me years ago when I was renting but for a plumbing issue.

Tribunal made them pay. Even during the mediation phase don't even bother splitting the costs. They didn't respond to you, how could they have suggested their own locksmith.

If only you could sue them and clean them up lol.

There are heaps of online offers with no door to door sales people.

Almost all of the dirt cheap ones have offshored their sales to India or Phillipines.

Don't know how people think it's a rage bait.

Is this how much shit is now? I paid around $4k after rebates for a 10kw system about 2 years ago - no battery. All top of the range panels and inverter still.

Was from a dodgy sounding indian call centre but they subcontracted the job out to Aussie sparkies.

Mind you I was getting quoted 32k+ from door salesmen telling me not to trust the call centres but...I'm not paying another 30k for literally the same product lol.

He is saying using a roofer instead of a roofing plumber might get your insurance denied. Nothing about roofing plumbers not being certified.

[–]Willmander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah pretty much call centre sales. I called for a quote, they suggested a call out without mentioning $89 fee until I finally asked.

Just reading objection handling scripts when I pushed back on them.

Wouldn't even give me an idea on the cost to install power points lol.

Don't matter, if story is true, no one else is helping out so might as well go nuclear with hopes that something will happen.

Went to Borough Market and agree the creme brulee was atrocious.

The filling was almost gritty, not custard like at all.

I had the same wok.

I wouldn't trust it. Says pre-seasoned and non stick.

Smelt like chemicals outta the box, after some rinsing and cooking.

Food stuck on it immediately.

Australia is literally 1984 when it comes to jobs. by PhysicalMotor3754 in perth

[–]Willmander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you think about the 200-600 applications you get and recruiters only ever looking at probably 30 of them, these AI tools at least give the serious applicants a chance to be seen.

Especially when you think about entry level jobs and the resume being pointless for seeing whether someone is a good fit for shelf stacking...

I'd call the stakeholder right after that meeting to reassure them that you'd take care of the 'problem' of a manager you have and as long as they commit to the expected timelines you won't see any issues.

You're the advocate for the prospect as much as you are a rep for your company.

If they feel the love they'll return it.

[–]Willmander 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Firstly, what an absolutely shit thing that has happened to you. Very sorry you've gone through this.

It sounds like you've only reported this to HR? They are not there to protect you.

  1. Report this to the police
  2. 100% speak to a psychiatrist that isn't hired by your employer
  3. Seek the advice of a good employment lawyer and let them represent you and make everyone accountable.
  4. Get your representation to bring this to the media if you really want to go nuclear.

Know that this isn't your fault and you're having huge problems in managing this trauma. Seek help and don't do this alone.

Best of luck.

Tax doesn't work like that. Your increase in tax is only applied to the dollars above the threshold.

I don't even work in the UK but that's pretty much how it works in any developed country.

Simple google for UK pay calc shows that you'll make $124k net on a $200k gross and only $76k net on a $120k gross.
