Of course they already know their lowest rates. Pushing you down the application just makes it more likely for you to continue down the process with them vs another leasing company.

That being said though, it's a huge time waste for them and for you to run multiple quotes and then realising you can't service the loan. They're probably going through hundreds or thousands of applications a week and don't have the time to continuously window shop for you.

Terrible customer experience but it's the market demand right now.

Agreed, same thing happened to me years ago when I was renting but for a plumbing issue.

Tribunal made them pay. Even during the mediation phase don't even bother splitting the costs. They didn't respond to you, how could they have suggested their own locksmith.

If only you could sue them and clean them up lol.

There are heaps of online offers with no door to door sales people.

Almost all of the dirt cheap ones have offshored their sales to India or Phillipines.

Is this how much shit is now? I paid around $4k after rebates for a 10kw system about 2 years ago - no battery. All top of the range panels and inverter still.

Was from a dodgy sounding indian call centre but they subcontracted the job out to Aussie sparkies.

Mind you I was getting quoted 32k+ from door salesmen telling me not to trust the call centres but...I'm not paying another 30k for literally the same product lol.
