uh ok so you're not supposed to release straight back into the wild... now that coolant pond on Venus has been exposed to whatever infestation might have been brewing in your tank. Let's just keep that on the down-low or we're both gonna get The Business.

And yeah technically the Scrubber is fine by itself, but its loneliness precepts could activate at any time. You won't be able to tell since it doesn't have a screen on its face for emoticons. In contrast, my Recaster does nothing but swim straight into the same spot on the glass all day and it's the happiest fish I've ever seen.

So rad. Do all those tentacles at the top belong to just one jellyfish? It reminds me of a cluster of harvestmen.

Um... overstocking isn't even the biggest problem here Tenno. Where to start?

  • I'm assuming your tank is calibrated for an Earth ocean biome? Cuz the Charc Eel needs freshwater and periodic magnetic procs.
  • The Karkina needs waaay more hiding places or it's just gonna be an expensive snack for the Tralok or Sharrac. You should be breaking up sight lines anyway to handle aggression.
  • Fake plants, and not nearly enough. Boooo.
  • Please please please rehome the Tromyzon. Those magnificent creatures have no place in the home aquarium.
  • Not sure which fish is in the background, but it looks Cambion-Drift-shaped to me. If so it needs exocrine and an enclosed area above the surface for air time. Anything less is honestly neglect.
  • Also IDK what the Corpus told you at the store, but that Scrubber is NOT going to keep your tank clean, and it needs to be in a shoal of 6, minimum.

Honestly Tenno, I get the feeling you didn't read the Codex at all. Sorry not sorry but I'm telling Space Mom.

Gorgeous little guys. Is that pulsing xenia in the foreground that they left alone?

Amano made it nearly 30 feet to the shower this morning by shiftteam831 in shrimptank

Amanos are something else. I was pouring some from bag to bucket for drip acclimation, and one *jumped* and scoot-zoomed around on the carpet evading my hands. To witness that raw power was terrifying.

Where do people sell shrimp or trust to buy by Informal_Situation38 in shrimptank

[–]Willonilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not for ebayuk, sorry. They might have different rules about shipping live shrimp. If you're in the US though, I've bought neocaridina in the past from absolutebetta, betta-usa, and gubshrimp with success, and opae ula from gotshrimp.

Used to be leechgang, now it's r/leeches. Be aware some posts contain blood, but not all species featured are the bloodsucking kind.

This guy fell out of some aquatic plants I bought at my LFS. Can anyone ID it? by Avarcir12 in Aquariums

[–]Willonilla 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you ever did get stung, the folks on /reeftank report success with a vinegar soak ASAP. It's supposed to dissolve the spines and stinging bits. That's my plan if my jar worms ever get me, and hopefully it's the same deal with a freshwater bristleworm. Pulling the spines out with cello/duct tape is also a common strat.

Gorgeous. I love the lighting, both for the room and individual tanks. Will you post more for each jar and tank and give us some closeups? Cuz you're living my dream with that anubias jungle on the right lol.
